I have a feeling they have NEVER watched an episode of the Early Years in their whole life, I did like tonight's touch on the Early Years, but, it was pretty much a blink and miss moment, can't they do a Milco storyline again, that was good (rewatched Miles and Sally discussing what happened in 1988), Lucy and Louise NEED to watch the REAL Home and Away to know what the fans LOVE, not what the fans cannot stand, there are a lot of people who grew up watching it since 1988, and I'm sure they don't want to look at guys under 30 flaunting themselves around the bay.

And, "we are all working towards a bright new future for the show without disconnecting with our past.", yeah right! There is pretty much NO connection to the past, there are NO connections to any past storylines, no mentions of past characters (unless they have returned)... I only watch the new series because, I like Home and Away and I am hoping to see good storylines again, however, the current storylines are actually quite well done at the moment... I wish we would have a landmark episode in episode 6000, it is much needed.

What part of the current storylines are well done?

Was that tonights UK episode? What was the reference?

I think it is essential for a TV show to keep in with its roots. The UK soaps Corrie and EastEnders have always kept true to their roots by bringing back past characters and there are always refs to past storylines. H&A would do well to go back to the way those 2 soaps are. As said Lucy and Louise seem to have little or no interest in the shows history. I remeber it was suggested that they are only into doing a 5 day a week show and dont worry about how it is written or anything. At least I can still watch neighbours and get a sense of community spirit. When H&A does have a non violent and/or crime/cruelty episode though it can really excel at it. The wedding episode aired in the UK last week was a good example.

In my mind I imagine the show to be much more exicting than it is.

Like I expected more to happen with the bomb blast. I expected the people that were caught up in it to be more affected or hurt. Then with the hostage thing with Sean that was quite rushed I think.

The Harvey story I was thinking that was going to be really good but it hasn't really been that great. We still don't know what has happened to him

I also don't like the way the show just forgets things. I mean what has happened with Spencer's bipolar will that ever be mentioned again now?

:offtopic: Oh yeah by the way where's the member JackLost gone as he seems to have vanished now I was just wondering

Going back a few posts before about Irene's gransdon Paul. It just occurred to me she has two grandsons. Because Fin become pregnant too didn't she. While Irene was carrying her other child. So it would be great to bring two brothers of 17 in it now, with a big link to Irene. I can see them both living with her. Would of been better then the Bassets or whatever they're called.

Yeah, just why are they so reluctant to introduce Irene's family? I remember I tweeted Lynne back in 2012(!!!!!) about how it'd be 20 years of Irene the following year and that it'd be nice to have some sort of celebratory storyline to commemorate the landmark. Just remember, we got NOTHING!
