How come you get C5 but no 5STAR? Just curious

Not in the UK.  We get Channel 5 via our Swiss tv, but it doesn't have 5Star.

Aaaaah OK gotcha. That's definitely a shame. I couldn't imagine watching in SD but would put up with it for a few episodes I guess. Interestingly decided once to watch on My5 ( via sky platform and smart TV ) instead of downloading via 5STAR. No HD on My5. Weird. 

 

Edit: I also decided to start watching the show on RTE2HD a few years back as they show episodes exactly as they air in Australia. But it's geoblocked on sky. Grrrrrrrrrrr. So back to 5STAR it was/is.

With the BBC News at One being extended and pushing Doctors to 2pm, I wonder if the 15 minute headstart will benefit Home and Away ahead of Doctors ending this year?

Channel 5 obviously want shot of it, and I'm aware the deal signed in 1999/2000 is a lifetime one, but there must be a deal to be done with a bit of solicitor assistance?

It appears that Friday November 15th will be when the show comes off-air for Christmas, with the current Australian storyline being the UK season finale.

That seems really early. Has it been this early in recent years? I remember it used to go to mid/late December.
