I liked Melody...

We all have our faults :P

I liked her at the start but once she returned I hated her

Yeah. I think that's where the dislike really began. Her "bad girl" phase was highly annoying.

Tasha and Robbie.

Hmm...interesting one.

I always thought they were quite popular with viewers unless you're talking about them as a couple or didn't you like them as individual characters?

It is an interesting one.

Thinking back on it, the whole "mermaid" storyline while cute was also weird and it did annoy me at times at how over the top hippy and BoHo she was sometimes written. Robbie was fine. Though he was kind of the modern day prototype for nerdy guys getting girls way out of their league.

All in all they weren't that bad.

I just thought Tasha was a totally stupid and odd character with silly stories . Mumma Rose's cult story I didn't really like but then again I was younger back then I didn't know know such things as cults existed then  And Robbie seemed abit daft as well

I agree that didn't do her any favours but I always saw her as a good person deep down and could accept it as the stress of a pretty horrid six months getting on top of her.In retrospect, it feels a bit like another character assassination to make the writers' preferred couple look good, but I was glad they had her get back to normal and leave on good terms with everyone.

Well, she's your Avatar, not the Bullseye on your dartboard (like so many people's!) :)

The main character I can think of I disliked in the past was Jack Holden. A truly dreadful character IMO. And Angelo did the world a massive favour as far as I'm concerned.

I can be quite fickle and there have been some characters that I've disliked intensely but ended up liking e.g. Charlie, Martha, Xavier and even Geoff was OK towards the end of his stint. Even Matt who I wanted gone has been OK since the bus crash.

With regards to present characters there are three or four that are sort of ruining the show for me. Chris who I absolutely loathe and just see as an oxygen thief. He thinks he's funny when he just childish, immature and downright annoying. He's the only character who I literally feel like punching every time he's on screen. As already mentioned Hannah is an absolutely dreadful character. No element of likeablity whatsoever and don't have one bit of sympathy for her given her current predicament. Maddy who has veered from being selfish, ungrateful, annoying and unlikeable to just plain boring now. At least before when she was being a bitch there was a certain level of entertainment which I could appreciate. This whole cancer storyline is like watching paint dry. I wouldn't have minded so much but it seems to have taken a significant portion of the show wasting several other character's screentime. Oscar, whose pursuit of Maddy at times, I've found incredibly frustrating but to be fair he's just become a by-product of the former.

I liked Melody as well, and I too could accept it as that. Throughout all her life, her mother had controlled her and she literally wasn't allowed to do anything without her mother's say-so. When she got away from her, she was free of her controlling nature and because this was all that she had been used to, she didn't know what the boundaries were and rebelled. I thought she was a very good character with a very interesting background.

I noticed that other characters like Jack Holden behaved worse than she did at the time, (I can remember when he had a grudge against someone, but can't remember who), and he arrested that person for literally no reason. He thought he was above the law and kept doing things that a police officer was not allowed to do. That was even his undoing and he got himself killed for it. But he never got anywhere near as much stick as Melody did. I felt that there were reasons for Melody's behaviour, but there weren't for others like Jack.
