Thanks, what happened to Tug by this point? Noticed he's not with Sarah on the titles. Was today's episode on during that summer break there were 2 eps from each year? I'm sure I've seen it before recently.

Had Selina appeared by this point or did she first appear in 1995?

Tug left 3 weeks earlier, he went to help Sarah's dad run his farm. Today's episode actually preceded the one that was shown in the summer break a couple of years back, which dealt with the fallout of Alf seeing the kiss.

And yep, Selina was in it at this point.

The Braxtons are in Sally and Flynn's old place, which later was occupied by the Hunters. It's undergone fairly major renovation since.

The Beach House has also been through at least two major refurbs - possibly three - since 1994.

The Holden house is now the Palmer house.

I think the only other surviving location from this era apart from the school and SBH is the Surf Club, which again has undergone two major refurbs; one for Noah's and again for Angelo's.

Also, loving the fact that in the afternoon the end credits are continuity free.

Going back to last weeks for a mo, didn't the Holden's live in what is now the Braxton's house, Luke slept in what was Flynn's surgery which Sally had built when he and her lived there, I thought Gina moved in next door.

Deep breath, and I'll try not to confuse anyone: The Hunters were living in the future Braxton house by 2005, with the Holdens moving in next door. Then Tony and Lucas moved in with them when Tony and Beth were together, but Jack stayed on for a bit and Kim shared with him which is how he and Rachel ended up living there. Then Jack was back living there when he remarried Martha (while Rachel had moved next door with Tony...keep up) and ultimately Gina moved in there because Hugo and Xavier were living with Martha! Um, clear?

It seemed it was Ailsa's first official foster placement, but would they have accepted her given her past?

Wasn't she given permission to foster Bobby in 1988 or did it never get that far?Not sure what the situation was with Blake and Karen.Emma was definitely placed with her on an official basis but then she was a blood relative...Let's face it, Ailsa had been taking in waifs and strays for a long time, she must have had some sort of check done at some point.

So why were Damian and Sam even living with the Rosses anyway? I'd have thought they'd be with Irene and Don respectively? It would certainly seem to make more sense for Irene to have Damian living with her than a pair of randoms.

Damian and Fin originally went to stay with the Rosses back when Irene was a violent drunk. When she eventually bought the beach house, she asked them to move in but they chose to stay with Michael and Pippa, which is understandable, it was their first real home pretty much.Sam did stay with Don for a bit but, uncharacteristically, he had a hard time handling him (it can possibly be justified by him not being fully over Bobby's death) and felt he was better off in a family situation with other children so asked Michael and Pippa to take him in.I think Irene must have had Rob and Selina living with her at this point?Roxy, I believe, had moved back in with Alf and Ailsa.

Today! And I've got an odd feeling I've never seen all that episode before, I seem to remember turning it on just in time to catch that last scene when I was staying at CenterParcs. Shannon still only has one dress and we get a hint of her early hostility towards Alf.I think I vaguely remember that dog after initially going "Who on earth's that?"Curtis and Shannon were very much the Spencer and Maddy of their day:Arrived in a stable, long term relationship, desperate to stay together, and within a few months they're broken up and dating other people.(Are the parallels stronger than that?Interesting that Shannon seemed to want to run away while Curtis settled quickly. And yes, she did give Pippa as hard a time as Maddy gave Roo in the first year or so.)I don't think their adoptive mother would have worried much: It's not like they were sleeping together or anything, just holding hands, occasionally kissing and calling themselves boyfriend and girlfriend.Alf must have been blind not to spot the near kiss near the beginning of the episode.I think I might have my nostalgia goggles on with regards Jack: While I found his and Shannon's bickering amusing and oddly endearing, there were moments when I could see he was a jerk and if I had to sit through several weeks of him I'd probably get fed up.(Did get biggest laugh of the episode though with Jack:"You've taken nearly half my shifts!"Alf:"No, I've taken exactly half your shifts.")Oh yes, H&Alover, Jack left to join the navy and was last seen at Sally's abortive wedding to Kieran in 2000.(Yep, that's the one.)

Given that this is just over a week on from the previous episode, Michael seems to have unravelled very quickly.I did feel sorry for Pippa here, who didn't seem to be able to do right for doing wrong (and Damian really should have gagged Sam when he had the chance). At least some things never change:Alf's solution is to go fishing.Couldn't really get into the Rob/Roxy stuff although Irene in her eccentric days with her old family remedy was quite interesting.

I don't want to be churlish since I'm pretty impressed we're getting these episodes but I agree there's some odd choices.I understand the logic of showing Shannon's first episode but her first full episode would have made more sense.Today's was fine but perhaps a bit too close to yesterday's.Tomorrow's seems to focus on a Shannon storyline at the point it ceases to be about Shannon, when 1707 might have been a better choice than 1714.

(Guess they're after the showpiece Shannon/Angel confrontation.)

And I've no idea what Thursday's episode is.I mentioned a couple of years back when we were discussing the possibility of a Shannon episode that it might be nice to see some of the child abuse storyline from 1995.But we can't have everything and I'm not sure what information Channel 5 have to pick these episodes, it might just be one line summaries.

Yep. Tony and Beth got it on in 2005. They were both selling their houses to the Project 56 developers, and intending to get a new place together with the compo. Project 56 became unstuck and so Jack and Martha took the Holden house and Tony and Lucas went to live with Beth - I think they were concerned about Lucas and Mattie living together as they also were an item at the time, this being at the time hey we're bed hopping with Ric and Belle.

The most notable thing for Thursday's ep is that it's Katherine Walker's final appearance (Shannon's mother) - from memory, I think Shannon's article that backfires was designed to be an exposé of Katherine, mentioning her fling with Don Fisher on her previous visit, but it turns out to just give her more publicity and she gloats to Shannon about it.

Only diff, Red is Curtis eventually got over Shannon and didn't pine over her like some lost puppy like Spencer is doing with Maddy. Thinking about it, It seemed at times like Curtis was the Mac Daddy of Summer Bay as he was never single for long! :D:D:D

Just to give a bit of context to today's episode, it's the week after Marilyn's return and Bobby popping out of Ailsa's fridge (hence Ailsa talking about her psychiatrist).

It's also the episode before Angel leaves Shane and takes off in the seaplane, which of course ended up crashing in the bush.
