What I found odd about this episode was that Luke got the store to buy the Lemonade before Shane and Angel got there to buy the ingredients so the could  cook dinner or he got there just after they did and somehow he did not arrive back at the Beach house until after Shane and Angel returned back to Fishers and cooked dinner and were eating it. Another think they were all running around outside during an a severe electrical storm pretty sure you are supposed to stay indoors during an electrical storm

Shane should of just confessed right away to breaking the roof tile Fisher would of came down on him less harder if he did.

I didn't think it was a big deal...Shane breaking a tile. It can easily be replaced and Shane was only trying to do something nice. Fisher just overreacted.

Glad Shane is staying on at Don's and that he figured out that people do care about him.

Rebecca is back but will she tell Fisher the real reason?

Good that Tug asked Luke for help even after what he said the other night.

Selina and Jack wanting to get it on but Selina wasn't sure if maybe Jack was playing her I don't think he was though.

Struggled through three weeks' worth of episodes up to 1490, so about a week behind.I've been quietly impressed with the characterisation of Selina, no wonder she caught on.She seemed a bit two-dimensional to start with but the layers slowly got peeled back to show someone quite vulnerable and with low self-esteem behind the pushy and apparently confident exterior.

Ah, Alf's entirely serious "I never use the flaming word": One of the classic Alfisms. That was an episode that really was ingrained on my memory, right up to Sam's "I flaming mean it!" It was a nice twist that Sam didn't break the fast after all and it led to a lovely quiet moment between him and Don.

I remembered the pool comp as marking the point where Shane and Tug started getting on, but I'm surprised it happened so soon because I can remember them having at least one fairly major clash later on.Guess it's a work in progress.Fred Archer seemed to be let off extremely lightly for his exploitation of Shane, with Shane's tirade clearly just sliding off him. Oh well, I believe karma catches up with him eventually.

Todd was nice enough but committed the soap rookie mistake of getting in between the golden couple. So, Shangel back together and in a sense it really is for good this time...That was a truly terrible departure for Nick though, in a phone call where we don't even see him one episode after he's taken off the opening titles.(They couldn't have kept him on until 1491 to make it a surprise?)Beth got a better departure than him and she'd only been there a couple of months.I thought at one point that she and Tug might work out if he wasn't her student but he didn't handle it too maturely.

And the deb ball.I'm glad we got to see at least some of Damian and Sarah together, when they were missing from the first episode I thought they might get squeezed out. When Sally wanted to go, Pippa dismissively told her to wait until she was seventeen, yet Jack, who isn't seventeen either, decides to take Selina, who Pippa describes as not much older than Sally, and Pippa doesn't say a word.Bit of inconsistent parenting there.I get that teenagers kissing in the surf club is nothing new but it was a school event and Jack should have saved it for another time; Selina didn't even seem that keen and would probably have rather been dancing with everyone else.Still, it led to a nice Pippa/Jack scene.I actually thought Don was a bit off with Irene: The scene of him collecting her from the house was rather sweet but then he seemed to deliberately snub her and dance with Ailsa and it was left to Michael to take pity on her.Oh, and Kristy Wright gets some dialogue! But apparently she spelt her name differently then.

I wonder who did listen in on Jack while he was on the phone to Selina so far I don't think it's Sally or Pippa maybe it was Michael or maybe Damian ran home for a few minutes before going out with Shane.

Shane you just got back together with Angel don't ruin it by a disagreement over her son.

Rebecca's playing was good and I laughed out loud when Luke showed up even after Don told him not to.

Good to see  Angel spending time with Dylan.

Maybe this formal had exceptions like being generally reserved for the Senior half of the School (Y10-12) or the writers just plain forgot about it.

Anyone noticed the shot of Damien and Jack has changed? They must have filmed two different versions. Originally Chloe looked at them and smiled as she walked past, now she just looks straight ahead and walks past oblivious to their attention.

Well spotted, I did notice there was at least two versions floating around a few years back... I did wonder if they perhaps felt they needed to tone down Jack's reaction or suchlike, so it wasn't quite as 'laddish' - can't see any other reason why they'd change it.

She was playing Liszt's Consolation No. 3 if anyone's interested, quite a pleasing piece... I thought they did the editing/cutting from the actress to the real pianist quite skillfully.

Liked today's episode felt sorry  for Angel feeling left out with Dylan.

Glad Luke said no to Rebecca although I wanted him to say yes.

Sarah's birthday party looked a bit small for an 18th.

Tug's present he made Sarah was lovely.

I like that the writers have (finally) remembered about Rebecca and deemed her worthy for a visit. But she may as well be a new character really. As well as the recast, there's been no mention of Barbara or Alan, and you'd think Rebecca would have at least mentioned Bobby at some point. Donald's reluctance to "let" Rebecca date is almost a carbon copy of the storyline between Rebecca and Steven and again you'd think she would bring this up, but no. Is she actually meant to be the same character?
