1994 Episode Discussion

Don's showing some of his villainous roots a la the pilot episode in this storyline with Luke. His phonecall was almost chilling. You can tell Norman enjoys playing this side of Fisher, his voice and whole demeanour changes.

Are we close to Sarah's last episode yet?

He was very mean...I enjoyed watching him :P which is why I love Don so much. He reminded me of Morag actually lol. Norman does such a good job with Fisher.

I hope Rebbecca doesn't throw away a promising career. She's an idiot. She will regret it. She's a talented pianist and can go places and a concert at the Opera House? She's such an idiot for turning that down. I hope Don can change her mind and really make her feel guilty. Otherwise such a waste of talent! You can have fun and a promising career at the same time Rebbecca.

Sam has a girlfriend. Ew.

Jack reminds me of a younger Adam Cameron. His plans NEVER seem to go the way he wants them to.

I've only seen the last few eps of 1993 and most of 1994 season.

Don showing his mean streak was enjoyable for a minute.

Rebecca telling Don off for interfering in her life was a nice touch.

I wonder  who put  that graffiti on the wall outside the surfclub I wouldn't be surprised if it was Jack but I have a feeling this time he may be innocent.

Michael getting the wrong idea was kind of funny I'm sure 8-9 yr old kids might smoke but at least Sam was with a girl in this case.

It wasn't Jack who did the graffiti it was some other kid Jack saw him graffiting the wall and went to get Alf by the time they got back to the wall the kid was gone however they went back into the surf club later and found the kid with a spray can in his hand the same colour spray paint that was used on the surf club wall so Jack is innocent

I remember this story line the first time it aired

I think Donald needs to stop controlling Rebeccas life if she wants to quit her music then that's her decision if she wants to date Luke then that's her decision also she is an adult now. Donald needs to let her make her own decisions

Yeah I noticed it! I didn't think it suited the scene because I've always thought it was such a sad theme, but maybe that's because I associate it with a sad storyline?

Yes it was a bit Morag-esque actually!

I completely agree about the Jack and Adam Cameron similarity. Jack's great, he's a breath of fresh air and the writers clearly love writing for him, he goes from scam to scam with barely a break between story lines. It's a shame his character becomes so serious and downtrodden as time goes on, as his stories become more dramatic and he gets into more serious trouble it's understandable, but I will miss the old happy-go-lucky Jack with his cheeky smile.

Caught up on two weeks' worth of episodes up to 1500, so I'm a week behind again.Goodbye to Selina, at least for now.She had a few scenes with Irene but not really enough to justify her turning up on her doorstep and asking to stay, which I believe is what happened. There was a nice friendship with Sally developing there too.I think Jack and Sally is more of a brother/sister relationship at this point but they do spark off each other well.I did reflect in another thread that it's a shame Jack just missed out on meeting Adam, he would have made a great apprentice.

And hello Rebecca Mark 2!(Two down, two to go.)Having her in town does seem to have brought out Don's controlling streak. It's quite surprising, especially coming so soon after the tender moment with Shane that underlines that he and Angel have become more than lodgers to him.Not-so-subtle in joke when Shane greets Dylan with "You look so different!" Oddly, it seems this one wasn't trusted to speak on camera, so Dylan suddenly becomes a lot less communicative.

More emphasising that Tug and Sarah are completely platonic by this point, even if the show never quite forgets that they used to be a couple.I must admit I have no memory of this netball stuff at all.Felt a bit sorry for Irene when she revealed why it meant so much to her but she really didn't do herself any favours.

I think it was sad at that moment because Angel had to let Shane down again

I think it was the Zack kid who Alf caught attempting to vandelise the pinball machine in the surf club did the graffiti not Jack. Honestly I don't think its really Jacks style he would call Alf names to his face not do some cowards option and graffiti it on a wall

They probably tried to get Mat Stevenson to hang around but I figured after 5 years he'd taken Adam as far as he could go. It's funny as he was the last 80s non-original artificat to leave at that point, Outlasting a bunch of people. God, Adam and Jack would have been unstoppable!

Trouble is in a small town like Summer Bay, Everyone's Guilty until Proven Innocent.
