New Seven news boss wants to bring back Today Tonight to the East Coast. And that means H&A giving up the 7pm slot.

In Sydney, Today Tonight had the 6.30 - 7.00 pm time slot and it usually ran overtime too.

The News has now taken over that time slot.

So why don't they just cut the news back to 30 minutes? This is what Ten tried when they moved Neighbours (extended news/CA) and it didn't work.

Hope they don't move h&a to 7two! It still rates ok. Not the best but it'll get far less on 7two.

Thank you Dan for moving this. I had to rush out and just plonked it in whatever thread i was in. Sorry.

7 would be nuts moving it. I'd rather it go to 5.30 and stay on the regular channel. Or can't we go back to 30 minutes of news followed by Today Tonight?

Yes. In Australia on cable TV there is a channel called UKTV. You can probably guess what they screen. In my house we call 7TWO "UKTV for free" Both channels show stuff like: A Touch Of Frost, Escape To The Country, Lewis, Vera, Bargain Hunt, Judge John Deed, Inspector Morse etc... I think you get the point.
