So Damien is gone. The sensible teenager in the bay. I will miss him and I'm sure Shane will to. Loved the murder mystery part. Nice way to farewell him.  Thought his Aunty and cousin may have been there to say goodbye.

Jack again you do something stupid. Steroids seriously. I smell big trouble.

Roxy I am sorry you got cancer but gee you have treated Rob so badly and just confused the poor guy. She was so hot and cold with him.

Sad to see Damien gone, was always one of my favourite characters:(

I agree about Roxy, poor Rob, I mean how much can a poor guy take?  First she agrees to take a lease on a house to move in together, then changes her mind after he has gone and signed the lease.....now changes her mind about Greece, after he has booked the holiday.  I think she is taking the old saying, "its a womans prerogative to change her mind"...a little too far.  Cancer or no cancer, she is acting like a petulant 2 year old and he deserves to be treated better then that.  Now she lands the ultimate blow saying she doesn't love him, talk about leading him up the garden path all this time.  Won't be too sad to see her leave the bay anyhow.

Eric is so creepy.  The way he is coming onto Shannon is a little sickening, if she were a year younger it would be bordering on peadophilia....gross!  I guess Mr Creepy can always blame the steroids for his weird behaviour:wacko:.  Not sure why the girls find his body attractive, those veins sticking out everywhere don't look very nice.

Irenes sister seems to be another snake in the grass, the hurtful things she said to Irene about her life being a failure were pretty harsh.  Poor Irene, I did feel sorry for her.   I notice Irene made a fleeting reference to her psychic abilities the other day making a joke about looking into her crystal ball...pity that story line didn't get carried on as they could have done more with it.  Like the netball it seems to have been filed away along with the other things of the past.

Poor Rob nothing! He's a tough macho boy with the chest of an ape, like Benny. Look at what a big man he will make himself when

Spoiler

he fights with Andrew over Donna's affections.

When it comes to Eric, the age difference, the creepiness, now you know why I am so angry about David crawling into Sophie's pants the way he did, and I sympathised with Michael and Pippa in their efforts in vain to stop what he was doing to her. Difference is, David got killed, and we're supposed to shed tears over our dear departed David. Eric, well, you don't need me to explain why he is such a scumbag.

Irene's "psychic abilities"? That's just pretend.

IMO over muscly guys aren't attractive at all. Its just so shallow that girls go for these looks. And its just gross.

I don't think he's ever had a girlfriend but later on a visit back to the bay in late 1995 I think

Spoiler

Caught up on the last three episodes. So, farewell to Damian...although he'll be making frequent visits and we don't really get rid of him until 1996.He got a bigger send off than I remember (although the guy asking Angel to write a murder mystery for him was one of those things that popped out of inactive memory halfway through the episode) and it was nice to see so many people wishing him well even though he was one of the last members of that teen group.Guess being part of the Fletcher/Ross clan means there's always a lot of people to say goodbye.(And Sally/Angel interaction!)

I actually sympathise with both Rob and Roxy.Rob's a nice guy who's stood by Roxy through a lot and thought they were for keeps. But I think Roxy did want it to work but ultimately had to be honest.Maybe she could have been honest a bit sooner, but I guess that leads us back to the wanting it to work thing.Still it does suggest she's going to have a lonely life.

Rob pretty much does a Nick and fizzles out after this as I recall, mostly being reduced to a supporting character in Donna's storyline.

Well, Shannon is coming across as increasingly deluded where Eric is concerned. Can't quite make my mind up about Eric.Obviously he's a drug dealer, which was a Bad Thing in those days. But he seems to be going to great lengths to score with Shannon. Is it an ego thing? It was interesting to see Curtis being the protective one while Jack and Selina were telling her to go for it...although Jack seems to have abruptly decided he's against the idea too.I'm struggling to see any similarity with David beyond the age gap though.

I think Michael and Pippa have realised by now that they were wrong about David: A few months from now, when Shannon

does start dating a decent guy in his 20s, as I recall they don't care.

So, Selina managed to broker a deal between the boys and Nelson, which seems fair enough. It does kind of let Wendy off the hook though, since it means she doesn't find out what she's driven her son to (and Nelson pretty much confirms she's a professional con artist), so I'm hoping there's a proper pay-off for that coming.(We've kind of reached the point where my memories of this visit have run out, last thing I clearly recalled was him kissing Selina...)

Aww aren't Pippa and Michael cute??

They sure are! It seems like they are falling in love all over again..

Really enjoyed watching these episodes again, it's probably my favourite of all the Early Years storylines. When I watched it all those years ago I remember being shocked that one of soaps happiest couples looked as though they may be heading for the divorce courts.

Again brilliant acting and on screen chemistry from Deb and Dennis. ?
