It wasn't as exciting but I enjoyed the 'feel-good' aspect of 1994. I think having a little bit more of that alongside the heightened drama will be good.

The 94 finale has to be one of the best finales they've done with Irene dressing up as Santa and having to be rescued from the boat when it broke :P

Just saw this in the comments section of Daniel Amalm's video for Classical Gas and thought it was lovely to see how loved the early years repeats are :)

I left for Uni in 95. Then was overseas for many many years. I recently returned and channel 7 is now playing reruns of H+A for the year 1995. It's like I never left and picking up right where I was. Been good to follow up and see what people did, where they went and the avenues they followed. Didn't realise that the guitar was a serious thing and not just a part of the character of Jack.

Sorry I know I've been a bit post-happy recently, I think it's the effect the 95 eps are having on me.

I'm a big softie when it comes to kids (I don't have any of my own but I do have nieces and nephews), and I hate seeing parents yell at their kids for no reason. Like Angel. Dylan was just playing with Shane and she yells at him! Dylan wasn't even back chatting to her.

Does Angel ever redeem herself? Does she stop being such a misery guts and become the likeable character she was when she first arrived?

Dodge is sure the charmer. He has Irene and Selina wrapped around his little finger. He's actually kind of likeable (he's supposed to be a villain but he's a bit more likeable than Mud and Mr Richards-his first name escapes me-ever was).

I don't blame you. 1995 is way better than 1994 which I found a tad boring. Its very addictive!

Good to see Nelson decide to leave Summer Bay for the burns unit in the city.

Dodge has 2 fans in Irene and Selina.

It was good to see that Pippa and Donald talked to Shane/Angel.. So happy that Angel and Shane are keeping their baby.

Ok I'm sure I'm not missing things but stories get mentioned that I have no idea about. For starters where is Sally? Nelson said today when Sally gets back tell her where I'm gone? Where has she gone. I haven't heard anyone mention her going anywhere.

Steven seems older than 23. Dodge has Irene fooled but I can see why Irene is giving him a go.

So that's the end of Nelson then. Wasn't his mum meant to come down? I will miss Nelson.

Happy that Angel is keeping the baby. They must be off to Disneyland soon.

So I'm guessing the students are at school still but ti's been awhile since we have seen them there.

I agree especially when he says "me old mate Stevo".I actually find myself chuckling along watching his scenes and I would say he really is a villain we love to hate.

Maybe she did but the actresses scenes were cut?

A long running  question I have asked over the years is: you know how Prisoner had a villain (Joan Ferguson) that the viewers all loved to hate. On that basis, why wasn't there a villain like Dodge on the show like on the standard 2 years like other teenage characters? His stint was too short, and we could have had a Joan Ferguson type exit after that 2 years, like after he finished school, at the end-of-school party he could have got drunk and confessed then

I think what you're going through is what a lot of people were going through at the time, but it was so new and unique and hadn't been seen or done before which is why it became so popular in the UK too from what I gather. Back then when TV was the main form of entertainment in the home, the show was 'must see', a chance to completely escape and 'soaps' hadn't done what H&A was doing.

I wish Angel was officially diagnosed with depression or something because she just comes across so intense and irrational a lot of the time. It's as if she's actually having one massive post traumatic breakdown, similarly to what Ailsa went through. I actually feel very sorry for her and Shane. Both characters have become really serious over the past 6 months, I was watching some episodes from late 94/early 1995 prior to the car accident and how innocent they were! They're both so happy and sweet together, I looked forward to their scenes because they made me feel happy. They're definitely not a good advertisement for married life that's for sure! I'm just looking forward to a lengthy period of them both being happy

Spoiler

before Shane dies, but from memory that doesn't really happen? :(

Thank goodness angel saw sense and isn't going to get rid of Shane's baby, it just seemed so wrong that she was going to kill it just so she could create another one for spare parts, especially since this baby may be a match for bone marrow anyhow.  I hate how she is so pessimistic and negative about Dylan's prognosis, she talks like he is going to die, the best thing she could do is be positive for him.  Shane deserves a medal for putting up with her.

i don't mind dodge either, I find his character and link to the past interesting.

sally seems to have been gone for an eternity, especially noticeable that she hasn't been there to support Nelson recently with all his issues.
