I don't see why they didn't just have  Gwen Plumb play Doris Peters as it would be great a nod to the pilot episode seeing a character who we haven't see since the pilot episode.

According to sources, they worked the character into Celia, who would frequently get her gossip 2nd hand from Doris off-screen.

I actually think they would have had both Doris and Celia as regulars because Celia was used as  peace maker between Roo and Alf.

Doris was a battle-axe type of busy-body whereas Celia was more endearing comic-relief busy-body.

Did tuesday's episode have a scene with Alf and Ailsa missing? He seemed to have some sort of feud with Mary where she decided to leave. It didnt make sense to me as he left the diner with something to tell Ailsa, but the next scene we saw was him apologising to Mary. Was this for everyone or just the Plus7 transmisson

I noticed this too. It cut from the middle of an ad straight into halfway through a scene in the store with Alf, ailsa and mary. Also didnt show Shane telling angel about mrs harris and dylan and i dont know how many other scenes. At the end it went from the final freeze shot of Jack (i think it was) to an ad break, came back from the ad break straight into the closing credits. It seemed like a short episode because of this. Dont know what happened there with channel 7two.

Is this one of the first episodes Corey Glaister's been in?

And I know that this is an one off for Rob, but I get the impression that he tends to lose his temper a fair bit.

Spoiler

Just you wait for the double-standards. Rob thinks it's OK to hit his students or give kids a clip over the ear, but not OK for Andrew to hit Donna.

Yeah, I remember that.

Rob hardly battered said student. He just made a majorly unprofessional move on a little grommet (who some may say had it coming).

Mr. Warren on the other hand, joins the "illustrious" ranks of Samuel Barlow (whose considerably less violent doppleganger guested last year), Ian Gardiner and Daniel Atkinson.

What, you're comparing Andrew Warren to Sam Barlow? Sam Barlow was a real criminal, Andrew Warren simply had difficulties understanding what Donna was doing with other guys and didn't deal with them the right way.

Rob giving Jack a "clip round the ear" may or may not have been harmless, but the fact that Rob is still acting like there was nothing wrong with doing it, even though it's against school regulations AND THE LAW is incredibly irritating.

Nice to see Donna getting fired up about something and showing a bit of personality at last.

The forced friendship between her and Angel is a bit cringe though. Much prefer Angel's upcoming friendship with another curly blonde.
