We come to the infamous train scene. It wasn't as effective as I remember. I didn't hear any sound as the train hit Lara.

I heard a 'slam' sound when it hit her. I thought it was pretty effective considering it was a G rated show back then. It felt pretty eerie and ghostly.

I found it interesting that she sort of got shook up by Angel's accident, enough to make her evaluate her mortality and risk taking behavior. But over the past week it was almost as if she knew she was going to die soon (because of her unpredictable nature) - did anyone else pick up on that? Or was that just my interpretation, knowing what was about to happen. There seemed to be a sense of foreshadowing, not really in the way the story was written but more in the way the character was portrayed/acted out.

I agree it would come so fast that it takes you by surprise. I've seen 'near miss' videos on Youtube and you just think 'why the heck didn't they see that sooner?'. It's like people are shocked and pause for a second before they attempt to move too, the shock of it coming at you so fast. It looked like she turned around to look at Curtis shouting without realising it was as close as it was and then was frozen with fear.

It was a cruel ending, and on top of Alsa's poor first impression of bagging them out for merely kissing, then exercising poor parental discipline not by letting them loose — but the condescending, rude way she dealt with Laura's misdemeanours. Instead of talking with Curtis and Laura politely, it was "I AM SICK OF THEM. I'M GOING TO TRACK THEM DOWN AND SEND HER ON THE FIRST PLANE BACK TO ITALY"

Ailsa probably thought she was gonna get another Karen ("Another one bites the dust!" I think that was Belinda improvising her lines in the vase scene).

And if the train didn't mash her, she probably would have Jeff Hardy'd herself off Jump Rock.

Wow poor Curtis, pretty sure seeing your loved one die like that would haunt you forever. Lara got totally flattened by that train.

So was she just trying to cross the other side? She wasn't trying to out run it by running beside it was she?

It's like she just froze and bang the train collected her. I think she didn't realise how fast that train was going.

I remember when I was school we had exchange students there. Imagine ringing the parents saying sorry your child died while staying with us.

Donna I fear that you will end up back with Andrew and it will end up a disaster again.

100% and I'm glad it wasn't just me who noticed this. She suddenly became very aware of her mortality and aware that her unpredictable nature was going to seal her fate. She tried to avoid it but in the end she couldn't resist one last dare...

Alexx, Beau_T, to the NSW State Coroner's Court with me. I'm going to open an inquest into Laura's death.

I don't know how you guys devise or use the idea of fanfics, but from what I understand of what they are, I think it would make a good fanfic to have a Coroner's Inquest as a sequel to these episodes set in 1995

Shannon annoyed me she couldn't of cared about Laura suddenly when Laura dies she cries.

Jack was been a selfish jerk like he was the only one grieving for Laura

Travis has finally arriveanother person who has been living in Bay but never been mentioned
