^The famous banned episode that didn't see the light of day on British TV for five years due to the whole Dunblane Massacre.

Yeah, due to excess "sensitivity" about Dunny-Blame, you Brits were denied that episode. RIDICULOUS. They (the TV station) made the choice for you and you had to just wear it. I hope they copped heaps for this on top of all the other censorship. They stubbornly didn't budge right up until they lost the rights to the series.

I really don't think it's that stupid a decision and if anything is a call for sensitivity then 16 pre-teen children being murdered is it. A bunch of people wanting to watch a Home and Away storyline pales in comparison. Unlike other cuts which were obvious, I doubt any of us even knew it had happened until we started hearing about it later on.Maybe it was excessive but Dunblane shows that there really are more important things in the world.

I'm glad that Jack and Curtis are friends again. I can't believe how much a jerk Jack was being like he was the only one who cared about Laura. Given

Spoiler

He was an insensitive jerk when Shane died and didn't give a rats ass

That snake in Summer Bay house Sally and Jack didn't even believe Christopher and Sam when they saw a snake. Luckily Travis came along when he did

Sally covering for Jack after Curtis rang him drunk and Jack went to find him.

glad Travis came along when he did and can't believe Sally and Jack didn't believe Christopher and Duncan when they said they saw a snake.

So.......I notice the parasitic infection from the "one-night stand" Selina had with Damian 10 episodes ago is beginning to show its symptoms. In the coming episodes, questions regarding contraception and remedy measures against teenage/unplanned pregnancy are going to come up. It will be interesting to see how other people rationally deal with this matter.

Already, it seems neither Selina, Shannon, or anyone else seem to be aware of the 72-hour morning-after pill or any emergency contraceptive measures so far.

Spoiler

You will see Shane will ask Damian if he used any "protection".

 We're past that stage now.....

Errr.......you say there are more important things in the world than a Home And Away episode/storyline. Um excuse me [like in a Pippa voice to Michael] but How does that justify going to the trouble of deliberately denying these episodes to the entire British audience regardless of whether some want to see them or not? Obviously, they thought it was important enough to stop a bunch of people watching a Home And Away storyline despite that paling into insignificance I mean it's not as if showing the episodes would make any difference to the Dunnyblame massacre or how people dealt with it. No?

I take your point but the fact that you keep deliberately getting the name wrong as if you think the mass murder of young children is a big joke isn't exactly making you sound like someone anyone wants to agree with.It was felt to be inappropriate.Maybe that was right, maybe that was wrong, but I'm not going to criticise those who made the decision at a time when emotions were heightened.

I'm a bit behind in commenting. But here goes...

So Travis Nash has always been around and knows everyone. :P Seems like a nice guy and always willing to help others.

Jack was being a jerk but I'm glad he's sorted things out with Curtis and back to being friends again and hopefully get into more strife :P in a fun way.

I remember Selina pregnant in the original run.

I feel for Don. I hate the way Angel and Shane are treating him. He's just trying to make their marriage life a bit easier by giving them free stuff. Wish my parents did that for me when I moved out of home.

Well said Red Ranger.

Some thoughts on recent episodes...

I've noticed in a few episodes recently that they feature the same song more than once per episode. A few weeks ago Cruise Control played twice within the same episode (albeit different versions) and then this week we had House of Love by Vika and Linda (of "When Will You Fall For Me?" fame) played twice in the same episode. Once on the radio in Shane and Angel's house, and then later on over one of 1995's many montages. It was a bit overkill, although the montage itself was nicely done. At the end, the song once again faded into the background on... you guessed it... Shane and Angel's radio. The Summer Bay radio station must have a very limited playlist!

Liking Donna now. All she needed was a story to develop her a little. And the Andrew storyline has been pretty good all round. I really believe Donna's struggle to fight her feelings, her fear of still being in love with a man who hurt her, and her confusion about what to do.

Angel and Shane's "fight" about another baby was a ridiculous piece of writing. And it was a pointless "story" too as it was over almost as soon as it began. Was it to show that Angel and Shane have now matured into a couple who can have a fight and sort it out again straight away without it being a 3 week drama fest? Maybe. But the catalyst for the fight itself (Shane suddenly wanting a baby and to hell with what they agreed before they got married) contradicts any such maturity.

So then Angel wanted to host a dinner party with another couple. Didn't quite understand Shane's "joke" about inviting Alf and Ailsa round... only for them to then invite Michael and Pippa. Also... Alf's not even in the country. Weird bit of dialogue.

Speaking of Ailsa, the blouse/pencil skirt look is really horrible. Sadly she pretty much sticks with this look until the end.

The snake storyline was a bit pointless. I don't know if it was meant to be dramatic or funny but I didn't find it either. Waste of screen time. Although it's always nice to see Chris and Duncan together (they're so cute!). Was it just a way of further integrating Travis into the show?

I think Curtis' grief is being well written and believable. The scene where he spoke to Jack about Laura's last moments was well played. Ailsa's not being that understanding but then she's got a lot on her plate. Considering handing Curtis back to the department was a bit shocking! Pippa was notably silent on the subject when Ailsa mentioned it (I'd like to think she didn't approve!) and I really liked Pippa's conversation about Tom, although I don't think Curtis took much notice. Also, Pippa mentioned that Tom had a heart attack. Is that correct? I thought it was another stroke.
