Travis was very likeable at the start, ie. in these episodes, but that won't last long

And we're counting down the days til you call  him a "Dirty Hippy Sleazebag"!

Spoilers below...

Travis is a guest at this point right? He eventually leaves with Donna, and then later returns as a main character. I wonder if this was always the intention, as they are certainly introducing him like someone they intend to keep around.

Well said Red Ranger.....

Sorry, but I feel I have the right to not be dictated to by someone else's decision based on their "emotions running high at the time" (their emotions, not mine, I do not take any ownership of their emotions) and I will call it Dunny Blame if I want to, just like how the students of Summer Bay High "deliberately get Mr Fisher's name wrong" by calling him "Flathead".

With regards to censorship of broadcasting based on "sensitivity" whims (I still remember the scandalous amounts of cuts made to entertainment and pop music arising out of the WTC attacks), I sure hope they don't make the same mistake ever again. If I was a Pom back then I would have been banging on that TV station's door VERY LOUDLY, demanding that that episode be shown in full and TOO HELL with their "sensitivities". ****'EM!!!

Now, Back on topic:

1. Yes, the Summer Bay radio station does seem to have a very limited playlist  was it due to heavy music licensing restrictions?

2. The Andrew ♥ Donna storyline: it was good of Donna to give Andrew another chance, yet being hesitant. I'll reserve judgment until this storyline is concluded on the 7TWO episodes though.

3. It's a pity Shane is insistent to include yet another baby in their home (even if it would be one produced by the both of them). If I was having a happy marriage, I would treat it as 2's company, 3 (or more) is a crowd to be living in a household 24 hours a day. But I agree with you about the gratitude to Mr Fisher's help.

4. Curtis's tragic loss: Tom did die of a heart attack at the wheel (although maybe it wasn't so clear if it was a heart attack or stroke, I believe heart attack). Agree with you totally about Alsa on both factors.

I know you've spent a long time on the net posting your deliberately provocative comments and faux outrage, and I'm sure you've got lots more well-rehearsed ones to come as we continue through the early years, but I should warn you that we do have standards here.

We've turned a blind eye to a lot of your little eccentricities, and some frankly vile comments, but enough is enough. And before you say it, it's not about censorship on here, but common decency.

Calm it down if you won't want to be placed on Mod Preview.

I felt for Selina in today's episode 16 and pregnant although we know

Spoiler

she eventually has a miscarriage.

Mr Fisher doing a locker search then trying  to keep the whole English  class back was slightly wrong anyone could of stolen his electronic diary.

Irene didn't react as badly as I thought she would to Selina being pregnant.

Rob needs to man up glad Andrew didn't hit him back.

The snake storyline was a bit pointless. I don't know if it was meant to be dramatic or funny but I didn't find it either. Waste of screen time. Although it's always nice to see Chris and Duncan together (they're so cute!). Was it just a way of further integrating Travis into the show?

I thought it was pointless myself and I agree-I think it was just to further integrate Travis into the show. How about giving him his own storyline? We don't know much about him except he's a fisherman? And Chris and Duncan are cute together. :P

Angel and Shane's "fight" about another baby was a ridiculous piece of writing. And it was a pointless "story" too as it was over almost as soon as it began. Was it to show that Angel and Shane have now matured into a couple who can have a fight and sort it out again straight away without it being a 3 week drama fest? Maybe. But the catalyst for the fight itself (Shane suddenly wanting a baby and to hell with what they agreed before they got married) contradicts any such maturity.

Yeah I thought 'oh, come on is this really necessary.’ It's been really nice to see Shane and Angel happy and in love so when we were left with that mini cliffhanger about the baby nonsense and 'I thought marriage was a two way thing', it highlighted again how immature they can be, almost to the point that it feels like they enjoy the drama sometimes. If I was head of that episode I would have told the writers to get rid of it or at least tone down the immaturity.

I think it was a bit contrived to show that Travis is a bit of a 'hero' kinda-character at this stage. I really like having Travis in the Bay though.

I like Donna a lot now. I agree, all she needed was a decent story and this has been really well written and played out.

Interesting to watch how Curtis has dealt with Laura's death. I think it's been poignant and well written too.

Great to hear some of those classic orchestral scores creeping in more and more. I still really love the piano scores though and I'm going to miss them a lot when they've been phased out completely. I wish they had continued using them throughout all of the other musical changes the show has had over the years. They're like a character within the show itself.

Alright Dan, I'm sorry you felt the big stick has had to come out. I feel I need to reserve my right to have opinions about the storylines that play out in these episodes. As for saying what I think, while I promise I will make a reasonable effort to tone it down, I can't promise that my opinions won't be as outrageous, especially when it comes to

Spoiler

Selina's pregnancy and miscarriage, Joe and little sally, Murdoch ("mud") and Selina, and Irene's attitudes.

I will not overlook the issues of contraception and preventative measures Selina and Damian may have failed to take on that night to prevent all this, and I will not hold back when I say once a pregnancy has started, options are still available to allow Selina to live a normal life as a teenage girl still going through high school with her friends and peers. Because if I were to overlook these things, then it would be no better than to sweep the lessons that need to be learnt, right back under that rug.
