Shannon's got a real problem with respecting her elders. Or she has problems with authority figures. First it was Alf and now she's disobeying Fisher. He told her not put in the supplement and she goes ahead and does it anyway because she didn't get her way. I agree with Fisher on this.

Selina only wanted to keep the baby because she thought she would live happily ever after with Damian but now since its not going to happen she's going to give it up. How selfish can you be?

------------------------------

What's selfishness got to do with it? Isn't falsely believing (without any evidence or life experience) you are going to be a good mother anyway regardless, a selfish way of thinking? Adoption isn't the answer either, because it will grow up with a pretend mother (and father). Face it — there is no substitute for being ready and prepared to bring up children properly.

There was nothing wrong with including the sex supplement. Mr Fisher and Pippa are being unreasonable about it. I'm glad to see Donna has some sense. Perhaps Shannon is going wrong because she doesn't agree to the compromise being offered.

Seen 1677 and 1678.Damian managed to pull himself back from the brink of his initial jerky reaction and actually spoke a lot of sense. It was good to see Michael involved; my memory is that Damian's connection to the Rosses gets neglected during these return appearances but it's being used well so far.And I think this is the last time we see Damian with a sensible haircut.Selina's been a bit emotional but that's understandable, she's young and hormonal and feeling a natural bond to her child while being utterly terrified at a scenario that she wasn't expecting, didn't want and doesn't feel up to.Irene, meanwhile, is seeming quite irrational, with her myopic belief that she and Selina can bring up the baby without Damian. What, did she expect him to ignore his own child when he visited?(Okay, we know he doesn't visit her after 1996 but she doesn't.)In the end, Selina makes a quite mature decision which gives her child a chance of a good life. It's a shame the option isn't explored more on the show: Given that the whole premise is based on the fact that family is about more than biology and, as was pointed out, one of its longest-serving characters is happily adopted, they have a tendency to give in to frustratingly prevalent anti-adoption prejudices. Roo gave Martha away in the first season, and by the time of the next teen pregnancy Sophie was treated like a monster for daring to suggest her baby might be better off with someone else.

Mrs Harris seems to have gone into full-on villain mode with her brainwashing of Dylan. It might not have been the best time for Shane and Angel to ask Donald for a loan but I think he overreacted. And again, it's spilling over into his professional life.I was on Shannon's side when she stood up to him over the unlawful detention but now she's completely in the wrong. She asked Donald for permission to include the supplement, he made it clear he didn't want her to and she went ahead and did it anyway. What was she expecting, him to say "This is really good, well done for disobeying me"?I can see why Shannon doesn't want anyone making the same mistake as Selina, but the school has probably already provided all the information she should have needed, and given that we're only two years off another of Shannon's friends having an unplanned pregnancy while at school I guess she didn't get the point across either. If she'd been smart, she could have handed the supplement out privately rather than including it in the magazine and acting as though it was authorised by the school. Now she's come up with this strike idea that even Sally can see is nuts and Jack's only interested in time off school.Yeah, that's going to go well...

I don't know what happens with Shannon and Curtis for the rest of their tenure (well I know bits) but from what I've seen so far I think they should have stayed together. Still struggling to warm to Shannon but she shines when she's with Curtis IMO, not entirely sure why but they seem to have fantastic chemistry. I like Marcus but more as a standalone character.

Jack scrubbed up nicely for Shane and Angel's wedding. I must have seen this wedding a dozen times by now and I never cease to be shocked at how Pippa is dressed :D But even more hilarious is Michael exclaiming how great she looks. Only Pippa could look even more frumpy in a wedding outfit :P Shame how they dress her cause Debra is a pretty lady.

Never saw Damo/Selina before and was surprised by how much I enjoyed them, they have a lot of chemistry. And feel bad for saying this, but Donna's violent ex Andrew is super hot! The more I see of Donna, the more I like her. She's the best 20s female character we've seen thus far IMO.

Sorry to bore you all with my opinions when I'm so far behind!

Sorry for a slightly pointless post but just wanted to add while I remember, I've loved Ailsa's increasingly random choices of characters to leave the Diner in the hands of, as the season has progressed. In the last couple of weeks, when she's had some kind of emergency, she's left Donald, Curtis, Laura & Sarah in charge. I'm fully expecting Jack to run the place by the end of 1995 :D

Well, Curtis, Laura & Sarah at least make sense as they lived with her, but as for Donald... although I suppose he could be seen as representing Sam who inherited Bobby's share of the Diner. I seem to remember him being left in charge later on as well, sometime after the final redecoration of the Bayside Diner.

He was left in charge a few time in 1989. I remember Alison clicking her fingers at him and saying "waiter!"

i also remember him bossing Carly and Matt around.

But you make a good point. I'm sure even little Sally has been left in charge.
