One thing is for sure: Rob should have kept his nose out of it, instead of acting like the complete dickhead that he was, the entire time Andrew was on the show.

Are you on Andrew's side? Sounds to me as if you are. Do you have any sympathy for Donna at all?

Andrew is at 100% fault here. You should never hit a woman ever. In the now defunct Liverpuddlian soap Brookside, one time Mick Johnson said he would never stoop so low no matter how far he was pushed.

Rob was looking out for Donna, may not have gone the right way about it but was protecting her from that animal.

Am I to take this literally, meaning it's sometimes OK to hit someone if it's a man you're hitting, and not a woman?

You're talking to a guy who thinks Dodge is a hero.....this surprises you?

Um excuse me, but I think Dodge is a little different to Andrew. Dodge is a criminal. Andrew wouldn't've been able to get a job as a teacher at a school if he was a criminal.

Well, Andrew's going to end up with a criminal record if he's convicted of assault, and if Donna had reported him the first time round then he could have been convicted then, so...I guess he just hadn't been caught before?Mind you, these days it doesn't seem to matter... I have to say I'm not convinced by this whole "a man hitting a woman is the lowest form of life" thing.Domestic violence is domestic violence, whether it's a man hitting a woman, a woman hitting a man or a same sex couple. The genders shouldn't make any difference, and fair play to the show for using gender neutral terms during Donna's speech.

Ailsa really needs to accept some responsibility for the way things are going with Curtis, she's been pretty inconsiderate at times, and while Jack didn't help by trying to put the wind up him, what he said wasn't exactly inaccurate.I'd like to be able to look at this from the perspective that she's had a teenager killed while in her care and is carrying a lot of guilt about, but she seems to have forgotten about it.Irene's inconsiderate attitude towards him didn't help, even if she did have other things on her mind.Michael remains a bastion of calm in all this, giving good advice to Jack and Shannon.

Irene's coming across as quite inconsiderate all round in fact: Selina's made a difficult decision, doing what she thinks is best for a child that she cares deeply about but doesn't feel able to look after, and Irene's pulling a subtle guilt trip on her and making it harder.Hopefully this latest crisis will help her realise that.

Especially given recent developments on the show regarding Irene's own decision - or, of course, Irene doesn't want Selina going through the same pain she did when she was forced to give her child up some 25 years ago, in terms of the Early Years timeline... However, it's easy for one to say that when her own rape/forced adoption was most likely a retcon but that aside for a moment... :P

I notice in this season Michael and Pippa are a lot calmer, and Michael has become very likeable.

Ailsa, while I appreciate she has a lot on her plate, was being quite inconsiderate towards Curtis, he is stll going through a lot of grief and she should back off a bit, but I think Curtis could of also helped out by doing a short shift at the store while Ailsa was bogged down with other things, including Duncan's illness, even though he did not feel like it, no one else was available, and I feel he should of stepped in.

I personally did not like the Donna/Andrew/Rob storyline, but in saying that, I feel for Donna and the scene where she talks about things to her class, was very well done. It stands up well today, especially with the current campaign regarding violence against women.

That's an interesting point, it adds a new layer to Irene's motivation: She had her first child taken away from her, so it's perhaps understandable she wouldn't want her first grandchild taken away from her as well. Well, she seems to have got her way...for now.

Fair play to Ailsa, she needed a bit of prodding from Shannon but she did make a concerted effort to make things up with Curtis and let him know that he still has a home. And she seemed to acknowledge that she hasn't handled things all that well at times.A couple of tender moments between Curtis and Selina.

The beginnings of their "thing"?

Hmm, Shane and Angel. While I think Dylan would be fine with them, arguments that he would be better off with them are a bit thin on the ground. It's only the Harrises' increasingly antagonistic behaviour and refusal to discuss the matter reasonably that is making Shangel even close to appearing like the white hats in this situation.

I don't think Ailsa has dealt with losing Bobby at all still. I know it not been spelt out are anything but as many of us know what's coming up this could well be the start of the way Ailsa is feeling. If Bobby had been around she's have a lot less stress in the diner to worry about her best mate Bobby would probably at emphasising with Curtis too.

I really don't think Ailsa ever got over Bobby. Even when the diner burnt down Ailsa brought up it was her and Bobby that started it and now that's gone too.

Is the ending theme different to the opening. I mean the music. It sounds more dramatic and urgent. Especially in the intro of it in the first few bars? But I can't put my finger musically on what the difference actually is.  The whole song has a totally different feel to the first one which is calm and relaxed.
