As for poor little sally, sorry to burst her little bubble, but 2 wrongs don't make a right. That poem was downright childish and stupid, and makes her no better than Joe is.

Poor Ailsa. What a low-life to do that after she gave him a free meal. Just when she was starting to get back to normal as well.

Curtis reckons that being with Selina won't stuff up their friendship. Ha. We'll see.

I'm glad Shane went for the caravan park job and I'm glad Angel didn't turn it into a drama.

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed the sound of Teresa Lynch's voice sounding distinctly like Jacki Nolan (aka Sarah Forrest) in Prisoner?

For those of you not familiar with the series or the episodes in question thereof, Jacki Nolan first appeared as Sarah Forrest when Deputy Governor Jim Fletcher met her at a nightclub. Sarah (or Jacki), an interior decorator, co-owned the business called "Classic Interiors" with Julian Phillips. He was always sceptical of Jim Fletcher, who said he was a building contractor. Then one morning, when Mr Fletcher was sleeping with Nolan, she discovered his prison officer's uniform in the wardrobe, and ran off (apparently without any clothes on!). Later, Governor Erica Davidson recognised her as Jacki Nolan, who escaped from Barnhurst some years previously. Mr Fletcher talked her into giving herself up, then she served time at Wentworth before being pardoned (with the help of her high-flying friends).

I could have sworn Teresa has a carbon copy of Jacki's voice and cultivated accent! Remarkable likeness!

I certainly can't think of any fathomable reason why they'd look and sound alike.

Same with the numerous other H&A people you've mentioned who happen to look like people from Prisoner.

I guess we'll just never know.

Confirmed: Home and Away: The Early Years returns Tuesday, 23rd August. :)

:( I have zero to watch now. I have no interest in the Olympics whatsoever as I'm not as sporty person.

Guess I'll be reading more and actually get on with my studies. LOL :P

Shannon should of heard Selina out and not jumped down her throat.

Poor Ailsa so confused and disoriented after that guy attacked her and robbed the diner.

I liked the idea of Shannon babysitting Dylan and glad Shane and Angel are on board with it.

I won't have anything to watch for 2 wks I'm not interested in sports.

Finally caught up on this last week.Lynch's behaviour towards Sally is now completely indefensible. She's done nothing to provoke it, she did her best to stay away from him but he made it his mission in life to seek her out and make her life as miserable as possible, just because she's there (his words).Wilson being taken in by his lies after Sally had opened up was deeply frustrating.I pretty much cheered when, after being a bit too easily cowed by his bullying, she found some steal and gave him a taste of his own medicine. She probably should have predicted that she'd be the one in trouble as a result though.I can't help feeling Don is setting Teresa up to fail by letting her look after discipline, given his smirking comment to Irene about it going well.

Alf acted like the nightmare parent at the football match, more interested in his own child getting the glory than in what was best for the team.Shame that instead of being properly resolved it degenerated into Michael getting a comedy injury.Ah well, at least Shane got a job out of it.Angel was more understanding about him taking the job and getting the motorbike than I expected...but then she goes and mishandles Dylan and they end up rowing anyway.

Ailsa's been very up and down and is now worse than ever after the robbery.(Another scene trimmed by UK censors, with the episode ending slightly early on the thief looming up behind her and cutting him actually grabbing hold of her.)Curtis and Selina...not sure. There's chemistry and we've seen them getting closer but again they seemed to cross the line from friendship in a fairly abrupt manner.Ironic than Shannon's having the same "Why can't I get a boyfriend?" thoughts that are normally associated with Sally.Cue the next stage of her craziness...

I thought that robbery scene was cut here in Australia in the original broadcast and the repeat. They did show him grabbing Alsa from behind, but nothing more, in Australia. The next scene we saw of the Diner was in darkness and Alsa sitting in the corner crying, with the till cleaned out. The actual robbery was missing, even from the Australian version. It looks like your version was cut even further.

^I don't think it was cut. I doubt it was filmed. Where exactly was the thief hiding anyway? The Diner was clearly empty. If he was inside somewhere, why didn't he just wait until Ailsa left? Why attack her? I can't help wondering if he did more than just rob the place. Ailsa was so insistent that she didn't want to see a doctor...
