Poor ailsa, she needs to be detained and put in a psych ward, if Donna knew anything about the mental health act (which you think she would, being a practicing psychologist), she would know that is what should happen.  Blind freddy can see she is delusional and irrational.

Wouldn't they only do that if she was a danger to herself and/or others? I don't think it's got quite that bad so far.

Why didn't the police work harder to catch the thug that robbed the Diner?

I'm guessing like Mary, there was no catching him. That bastard probably took off up North or something.

If I'd played stick up kid on a local diner, I wouldn't be hanging around town anytime soon.

And three years later another Scumbag will twirl his pistol in the diner

Capping Sal in the process

Selina is annoying me. I feel terrible saying this but I don't feel as bad about her losing the baby as much as I should. Irene also feels really overbearing during the whole thing, overly-invested and pushy.

Edward Skylover, you really shouldn't have to feel bad or fear speaking your mind when you say you don't feel as bad about Selina having the miscarriage! Think of it this way: what if the pregnancy did go through? It would have been Sophie all over again (like Damian warned when he tried to talk her out of keeping the baby).

You're right, Old H&A Fan. Plenty of Jack recently to keep me going, and Sally too. Sally is a more enjoyable character than Shannon and Selina at the moment.

I think the great thing about Sally is that she always helps to ground the show in reality because Kate plays the character so realistically. I know some of the audience found her irritating but I think that's because she was just so real and somehow that was cringe worthy (I'm thinking about how people I knew back in '95 responded to her). But she was one of my favourites around this time back then, I always looked forward to her screen time.

I agree Irene can be overbearing - I find her a more interesting compared to how she was mid 00's-present, she's got a lot more flaws.

Observations thus far into the season:

- Isla was the shortest cast member over 18.

- Sal, Irene, Shannon and Selina seem to love those denim skirts

- Lot of movie references

- A number of video game references (Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter 2 Turbo, games I spent playing during my schooldays ^_^)

- Talking of the above, they screwed up by using one of the sound effects from one game for the other!

- Don's house becomes lesser seen once Shangel move out

-  Wardrobe seem to like sticking Jack in that two-tone shirt (the one with the blue and white striped sleeves)

- Emma's picture's still on the Stewart mantle but she's never been mentioned since!

Yes it was interesting to see things finally move into the computer age, with the old ?commodore 64 making an appearance at joes place.  Brings back a few memories.

The green depression glass dishes along the top shelf at Irene's place always catch my eye.  It's funny the things you notice now which didn't seem to so much the first time watching.

selina seems to have quite easily moved on from a pregnancy loss, I find it a bit off that she is already involved in another relationship so soon.
