It's funny how old everyone was at the time when these went down.

When they aired in Oz, I was on the home stretch of Primary and when they eventually aired here, I had started secondary!

I feel young compared to blokes like Red,Old H&A fan and Gerard!

Bit of a rebel, were you eh, H&Afan?

*Checks trusty diary* Oh gosh, there's a coincidence: We got Episode 1709 on ITV on Friday 15th September, the day before my 16th birthday. And I even made a note of the disembodied hand, which I seem to remember was the cliffhanger into the ad break on the ITV showing.

Incidentally, reflecting on the fact that in five years' times we'll learn Ailsa was raped in the past, it suddenly occurred to me that we're over halfway through Ailsa's time on the show and well over halfway through the ITV era. Then I had to go and lie down.

That's how I remembered it also - can barely remember anything I did myself in 1995, yet I manage to remember that.....

I don't know, I mean you'd think that after she'd been in prison for killing her dad that just being robbed wouldn't have pushed her to such an extreme state of paranoia and post traumatic stress. When Alf found her cowering in the darkness, shivering and petrified it seemed a lot more than just being robbed it seemed like she'd been violated in a more extreme way.

Red Ranger - in episode 1705 she says to Alf 'the local police comes in (to the store) and you don't even ask him if they've caught the man who threatened to kill your wife'. Whether it was just a throw away threat or not, as far as she's concerned she thinks he's going to come back to Summer Bay to kill her. I wonder why they've left it ominous and open to interpretation. The audience don't know how that threat was delivered, don't know his tone of voice and we don't know anything about what happened once he dragged her back into the diner.

Retrospectively you could look at it that perhaps Ailsa thought she was going to be raped & it brought back memories of Shauna's conception.

So Ailsa took amphetamines which explains FridgeBobby... or does it? Do you think she could have been a real ghost?

We got a glimpse into Roo's old bedroom for the first time since 1989 I think.

Actually felt sorry for Jack with his guitar being burnt. You could hear the upset in his voice.

Michael and Pippa... they're a tad too wholesome at times. There doesn't seem to be any sort of wit, sarcasm or quirkiness in Pippa's character like there was at the beginning. I don't know how to describe it but Pippa used to be more sort of playful. Points for continuity though - even though it was never shown on screen, the writers never stop mentioning that Pippa used to be a nurse (something that was first mentioned in the pilot). In today's episode she was a psych expert.

Well I do believe the only reason that they used her head in a fridge was because Nicolle Dickson was pregnant and they couldn't show full body. :)

She's shown all around the house. But only from the head up. I don't quite know how that answers the question about her being a real ghost or not.

Oh, see I haven't seen the episodes... I'll change that - I know that the only reason they showed only her head is because she's pregnant :P That doesn't really answer the question set out either...

I was the same age as Sally back then-around 15 :P in year 9 or 10 in high school. Kate Ritchie and I are both born in 1977. I think she's slightly older than me by a few months.

I don't remember much of the Ailsa and Bobby coming out of the fridge storyline. Its been intriguing and I wonder if Judy Nunn loved doing the storyline. :P Maybe now after all these years, it comes back to haunt her. But I'm glad to see Ailsa's finally getting some help. The robbery really did a number on her.

See what I did there?

Jack is sweet, being the big overprotective brother to Sally. And why is she still with Gus (I hate that name, always have) after he burned Jack's guitar?

That aforementioned friend at the time these episodes were broadcast came up with an indirect "its a soap" reply when I said that Ailsa must stink as she has worn the same dressing gown for about a week. He said "Only for about 5 or six scenes".

We even did our own spoofs with my fridge at home, pretending Bobby was coming out of the fridge. 1 years ago, doesn't time fly.
