Finally caught up on the episodes.

Joe/ Therese Glad the finally made peace with each other and are now back on talking terms.

Selina- Happy to see her feeling good again with Curtis and thought Don expelling her was way over the top. I know she disrespected him on the bus and being in the dorm but he could have listened to her whenshe tried to explain about Joe.

Sally- I kind of like her rebellious attitude. At that age when someone pays attention to you like Gus is doing you just think they are the perfect person. I had no idea Samuel Johnson was in home and away. But I just know he will leade her astray.

Ailsa- I always hated seeing her in that blue dressing gown. Those Bobby scenes were freakier than I thought. I was young when it aired but I thought all we saw of Bobby was her face appear from the fridge. Not have her bascially following Ailsa everywhere. At lease she is getting help.

Shannon/Shane/Angel I hated Shannon back then trying to get between them, but this time around as I know what eventually happens i'm looking forward to it again and also the drama involved with it.

It sounds like I missed a crucial episode with the Bobby scenes following Ailsa through the house.

I thought it ended with Ailsa seeing Bobby in the fridge. I had forgotten the next episode, the one that I missed this time.

Damn, that sucks!!

Aaand it's back!Again.I well remember that ending of Angel overhearing Shannon bragging to Selina but didn't realise how contrived and out of place it was: Angel's suspicions have been building in a way that's more or less believable (although you would expect her to have more faith in Shane) but through the rest of that episode Shannon's seem embarrassed by what happened so I'm not sure why she'd suddenly tell Selina a not-entirely-accurate version of it.Sam's pointless smirking at others' discomfort got old a long time ago.

Vaguely satisfying to see Don on the receiving end of the sort of lecture he normally gives, with Arthur clearly far from impressed at his reaction to having a deputy with a mind of her own.Still, Selina's tirade was never going to get her or anyone else anywhere.I meant to say that it's good to see Joe and Teresa getting on better and it's provided her with a useful out from Summer Bay.

Marilyn doesn't seem quite as out of place but the characters do still spend a fair bit of time ignoring or rolling their eyes at her (her wandering through Curtis and Selina's conversation talking nonsense was a prime example).Still, I wonder if Irene's horoscope about meeting someone who'll be with her for the rest of her life referred to Marilyn herself: 21 years on, they're doing quite well.Could have done with an explanation for why Ailsa was sitting around Michael and Pippa's house, especially since Pippa didn't seem to be home.

I completely agree RR. To be honest, it just wasn't a very well-written episode. Ailsa hanging around with Michael was just odd. Angel's sudden complete lack of faith in Shane was extremely contrived, as was the whole debating club thing. The only thing I liked about the episode was Don getting a good talking-to from Arthur, although I don't remember if that actually goes anywhere.

I did pick up on the horoscope prediction and also attributed it to Irene and Marilyn's friendship! But I did feel Marilyn was a bit annoying in this episode (although I liked her talking to Curtis and Selina about painting the walls, as if they were somehow supposed to know what she was talking about), but I think the writers are trying too hard with her at the moment to make her zany and silly. Having said that, I do like her friendship with Angel which is probably the most forced thing so far about her return.

I am amazed that anyone with half a brain takes horoscope predictions seriously. Her "stars" according to that book said "trust your instincts" and that seemed to give a lot of extra weight to her suspicions about Shane and Shannon.

I guess they are re establishing Marilyn to the viewers that may have not seen her in her original stint. So her zaniness and silliness ihas been increased from where the character was in 1992. But no where near as much as when she first came into the show. Her talking rubbish fits in with the part of her personality that just talks when she nervous. Thats coming across as just stupid. Maybe because there are a lot of new faces in the bay, she's not quite as comfortable so she's reverted a bit. It has always taken a while for people to work out there's more to Maz then meets the eye. Just like Myles in her next stint.

Jack still being a knob to Joe is getting old now. He needs to GTF over himself. Joe and Sal have since patched up their beef and Curtis is cool with him, though I think it might be that last one that's getting up his nose.

And Kate Hoskins getting a mention... wasn't she in the same Year with Angel and Co last year and one of the girlfriends that read the Nathan/Sarah story? Feh, it IS possible for people to have friends in different years at school.

What I don't get is Arthur's subsequent recast in 1996 to a man who could, well pass for his Father! (No disrespect to David Downer, who was fantastic as Ross Buckton a decade or so later)   Still seeing Donny boy get his just desserts is fine. Norm plays A-hole Fisher brilliantly.

It has to be said, Teresa has a decent set of pins on her, as does Maz here.

Reflecting, Joe could have made for a good regular. They could have built up a surrogate brother/sister dynamic with him and Selina and probably would have softened changed his mind about Sal and they'd have been a thing for a bit (Kate and Justin probably played together a bit during his first go round as Ben McPhee on the show and there is believable chemistry).

Sam is just... Sam. Next time Shannon should just put a mousetrap in her bag! Fix his wagon lol. Little grommet.  As for Shannon, she is lucky Angel wasn't holding anything sharper than that order pen!  Shannon ran, Just a Shade under Damo's land speedrecord when he ran from Irene after being busted for cheating in the trials last year!  The jukebox song repeating the line "stupid" is quite apt.

I would suggest Ailse was watching Chris before Michael came home but then the question would be where the hell is Duncan?! Or Michael suggested she wait for Pip. We'll never know. Cue X-Files theme.
