What I liked about Ailsa's return storyline is that it reminded me of the scene when Alf told Ailsa on the phone back in 1988 how much he loved her and needed her, which back then was what convinced her that Alf was the right man. I thought that was very sweet and reminded me of their dynamic back in the early years.

I would have loved someone (Pippa perhaps) to point out to Angel that the only person who almost wrecked their marriage was Angel. Her lack of trust in Shane and willingness to drop everything without even giving him the chance to explain really should have made Shane question her feelings for him. He's been incredible to support Angel through what she's been through over the past few months, she needs to remember that. I go from really liking Angel to finding her annoying, it makes for great TV but it can get frustrating! She was so sweet and caring during 93-94 and never used to fly off the handle like she does now. I think the car accident had a bigger impact on her mental state and sense of security. Hopefully this stalker incident will bring Shane and Angel closer together and back to a more stable dynamic.

Lovely to see Shannon and Pippa grow quite close to each other since the anorexia storyline. Pippa's really had to prove her love to one of the kids which seems like a first (?), it's been interesting to watch.

Watching the show back I'm amazed at what sort of memories it's stirring up for me from that period of my life, things I'd long forgotten about. Is anyone else experiencing that?

Regarding Cloe: are you implying she is weak because she is a girl, so therefore Max can hit her but not Jack?

Not saying that at all. Plus Jack looked genuinely s***-scared when Max threatened to give him a cut below the rest.

If Your remember Irene used to beat the stuffing out of Damian (a guy) and he towers over her.

Also a more extreme example The Smith kids (Will, who you care zero, for copped it the worst)

Also, Fast FFWD about 8yrs Ric was reasonably built and his old man still slapped him around until that day he actually fought back. And Ric himself was slapping around weaker folk at school like Henry Hunter (who let's face it WAS a tosser, but still).

Ah that makes sense, thanks. I even looked at the BTTB episode guide which I often do when labelling my eps, but for some reason didn't notice I had labelled half of February's episodes as January

All sorted now, thanks!

1745 sees the mysterious sudden appearance of a second sofa at Summer Bay House. I have always wondered how a family of 7 (8 including Pippa's father) managed to live with only room for 2 people on the sofa.
