I have to say I have not missed Travis 1 iota and am not looking forward to him coming back

Me neither! I've quite forgotten about him actually...

as for mud, I have absolutely no sympathy for child sexual predators and pedophiles

That's a bit of a long bow to draw, comparing "mud" to a kiddy fiddler. Selina is hardly a child, she was older than Sophie was (when David (well........ you know........)), when "mud" was doing those things. Anyway, what things were he doing to "poor Selina" exactly anyway? I mean....... was he actually raping her? Or was he just opening the doors of rooms accidentally on purpose for a laugh? Trivial stuff. Hardly the same thing!

Robert Hughes/Hey Dad mess that resulted in a succesful conviction

A successful conviction but based on what evidence? The courts can get it wrong sometimes, and we'll never know for sure it wasn't a miscarriage of justice. Did you know he was the leader of the group of terrorists who broke into Wentworth with assault rifles holding the prison under siege for days, to try to free crime boss Mrs Ruth Ballinger?

the Steven Marilyn matchup seems a bit odd

Steven and Marilyn hardly had an extreme age difference. I really can't understand why there was even an age issue there at all!

I have to agree with you here. 5 years is hardly a big deal (Stevo was established as 17 in 1990 and Maz was 22 in that same year)

And there was ENOUGH testimony to GET Hughes, not Monahan  alone. There had been reports/complaints as far back as 1985.

Also, I think Ram (character who led the siege) and Robert Hughes are two separate beings and I don't think Wentworth exists in any other continuity except Prisoner and the remake of the same name plus Neighbours confirmed the Prisonerverse as fictional (despite using their sets being in use for Warrinor Prison, ironically a men's Detention centre on that show)

And David/Sophie you're never gonna let this drop, even though David has been 6ft under for 1/4 of a century, are you?

Angel! Shut up! You're grating on my nerves. I'm feeling more sympathy for Shane. While its awful what Dylan is going through, your way of thinking befuddles me. Having a baby with your ex who turns out to be a crazy stalker??

CaptainHulk, I was merely using that as comparison to underline my argument of the basis of double-standard.

This thread is for discussing the 1995 episodes of Home and Away - please stop taking it off-topic and using it as a personal soapbox (in this case to debate the court system)

it's been like that since they were showing 1993 c.Bobby's death.

The source I get my episodes from has just changed the on screen identity just after the break from Home and Away - The Early Years to Home and Away but yes I do remember the occurrence during the 1993 episodes as well.

Sorry, Dan. It's just outside of HD/H&A/That mess, I know very little about Sarah Monahan.

Some things just spiral. What with the whole molestation (attempted) theme with Mud and Selina and Sarah/Heather's arrival.

We'll be good, just don't send out the Daleks!
