I can't get rid of the above post, sorry for posting a blank post.

That was compelling viewing. Except for Angel of course I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Poor Don :( but I feel sorry for Nelson the most. He saved Jack's life but then he becomes a victim. How is that fair? Jack gets away with barely a scratch. He's the one who caused the bushfire and yet all he gets is a a slap on the wrist.

Yeah, I get that technical problem too. I find I can't delete all of the text in the box despite selecting all.

Hope Chris Hale catches up with Rad soon.

Unfortunately, he may have already skipped the state. Summer Bay's police resources are sadly lacking. That's how Alsa's attacker escaped also I reckon. No dog squad, just a couple of constables and a sergeant at the station. It's a pity the resources of the SES used in the search and rescue after the plane crash weren't used to catch these offenders.

Jack has no remorse whatsoever. He doesn't care what happened to Fisher etc. All he cares about is Chloe so it's basically her fault.

I think Jack should get more than a good behaviour bond because of no remorse. Instead of staying he's actually taking off. I never liked Jack and this takes the cake.

To be fair, Rad caused the fire - Jack tried to tell him to slow down - if Rad had listened, they wouldn't have crashed...

I liked that they underplayed the emotion in Jack's scene with Chris Hale. Jack's grown up a bit, a younger Jack would have been arguing, giving excuses as to why it wasn't his fault.

And then that tear...

Seen up to 1755, four episodes which seemed to see a lot of storylines coming to a head in a very short space of time.I well remember Max's last scene (for now), impotently calling out for Chloe while Jack walks away without giving him a second thought.Felt like some last minute script rewrites, instead of Chloe's mother still being alive being treated like a big twist it's a casual "Oh yeah, I've known all along that she's still alive, I just pretended around Dad." That did seem like a pretty final exit for Miss Richards with the voiceover of her on the road, wonder when they decided to bring her back?

Murdoch finally overplays his hand, although you do wonder how no-one but Selina found him creepy.Still, despite the show's typical rush to get things over with, it was a worryingly realistic portrayal of how a normally confident girl can end up terrified in her own home when an adult in a position of power over her decides to use that power for his own gratification.Slightly worrying that Irene and co seemed to think that the best way to deal with it was to order him out of town, leaving him free to do it to another girl who might not have been so lucky.Even more worrying that Selina confides in Pippa and she basically tells her to handle it herself rather than talking to Irene (as Marilyn does two episodes later...and while I get that it was done to raise the tension, so we don't know it isn't Selina in the bed when Murdoch goes into the room, it feels like we missed out on a lot of important conversations). The first of many cases where you'd expect Irene to start having flashbacks to her uncle if she was so inclined?

Oh well:As it turns out Murdoch didn't get far.

I think UK viewers benefitted from ITV cutting the credits: It means we didn't get the admittedly-not-very-surprising twist spoiled by having Paul credited in an episode where we don't see him clearly.Whilst I'm not for a second saying his actions were justified, Paul does seem a bit hard done by in all this.Angel sold him on the idea that they could raise Dylan together and it didn't matter who he lived with, then it seems that when he didn't get in touch, instead of checking if he was all right she and Shane breathed a sigh of relief that they didn't have to deal with him and had Dylan to themselves.Still, a satisfyingly dramatic ending with Shannon getting to be properly heroic and finally convince Shane and especially Angel that she's not their enemy.

Alf getting all excited about Curtis' motocross after initially being dead against it was rather amusing. And Sally and Nelson just about managing to call Don's bluff. Is Steven meant to have moved into the house after Bert's departure? It's not really been made clear.

Melissa George really pulled it out of the bag when she announced Dylan's Leukaemia diagnosis. I keep expecting Shane and Angel to become boring in their married life but something else comes along to turn their lives upside down.

Really love Curtis and Selina together now, hated them together at first, what changed :o

Nice to see the two acclaimed actresses' Melissa and Isla working together a fair amount this year.

Selina "confident"? Oh yeah....... I think "spiteful" would be closer to the mark. And why is his backstory lacking a sexual element, all it seems to be is another case of a man walking out on his wife leaving her to hold the baby, as is the case in a whole lot of other storylines portrayed on the show. Did he just acquire this habit of feeling up the girls, or is it only Selina he fancied??? And what do you mean he got off lightly by being kicked out of the beach house like that "leaving him free to do it to another girl who might not have been so lucky"?!!

What I said, I guess. It was pretty clear that he got stopped only just in time and was planning to rape Selina, with his comments about "I think it's time we got to know each other better." So, he's now free to head off to another town, find another teenage girl he likes, charm her mother and move in with them and start preying on her as well. "Whoops" doesn't even cover it.

"I think it's time we got to know each other better" is a bit vague to be drawing a drastic conclusion like "rape". And the difference between Irene and "some other teenage girl's mother" is that he was married to her. And like I said, there wasn't even the vaguest hint of any "sexual" connotation in his backstory. He simply up and left Irene 10 years ago, and that's it. No?
