Holly
LOL. I hated learning German. I did a year by correspondence last year and hated it. Although leaving it to the last minute and trying to learn a years worth of german in 2 months is not a good idea!!
caitlin87
Is it a hard launguage to learn? I remember hating French classes in high school. Edited March 15, 2006 by caitlin87
Emma_B
Trying to do a terms worth of work in one night results in work being rubbish! Who wants to go and sit in a pub and talk German with a load of other English people? What is the effing point - they are English, I am English, lets have another round and talk in English! Holly
Is it a hard launguage to learn? I remember hating French classes in high school. Yes and No. I found it was like english in ways but I couldn't handle the grammar. I hated how words had different verb endigs depending if it was masculine, feminine or neutral and I always picked the wrong one! I learnt french in yr 7 & 8 and although I can remember hardly any of it I enjoyed it.
Emma_B
German comes much more naturally to me than French. When I'm speaking or writing German, I usually feel pretty sure it is right. When I'm using French, I'm really just making it up as I go along and hoping for the best.
Holly
I think I made up quite a lot of words in german in my work LOL I must say german probably came easier to me, I remember a lot more of it then I ever did french and at the begining I thought it was very enjoyable! Emma_B
I do like it really, I like both languages. I'm just having a blip at the mo - a term long blip that nearly caused me to drop out of uni! But I'm getting back on track now and I'm going to stick it out. Holly
Great! I think languages are great to learn and come in handy. I'd love to get back into learning French & German again one time. And i've always wanted to learn Irish Gaelic but talk about complicated!
