Guevara01 Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 I completely agree with everything you just said. When i was younger, my dad used to smack us with a slipper () when we were naughty. We didn't do it again, and it left no long term damage. If half these kids were told once, they'd give their parents so much more respect. I help teach at a Primary school, the kids were mucking about throwing pencils once, i told them to pack it in (more eloquently put though) they stopped and have shown me nothing but respect since. The kid who i told off gives me big hugs whenever i come in to the room now. My neice is about 8, her parents let her get away with blue murder, she never says please or thankyou, unless she's with me. Because i let her know that it's impolite not to. The nanny state we live in (especially in the UK, i don't know what it's like in Aus) just makes things worse. Rant over xxx Quote
Di Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 Bring back the wooden ruler. Those young punks need a lesson in respect Evening Di *hugs* Hye sweetie Quote
Pierced Musie Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 I don't remember having to be told off for being loud and naughty *whistles* Except for the time I poured water on the cat... and the time I sat on the rabbit... oh and the time I hit my sister on the head with a golf club. Or was that a cricket bat *thinks* Oh yeah... it was both buwah! Quote
Guevara01 Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 (edited) Ha lol, i was always being told off for something. I had to sit on the naughty table in primary school, so i don't know what i'm moaning about!! xxx EDIT: This was before my teachers realised i was relatively bright and started being nice to me. Nothing to do with my bad behaviour, of course! xx Edited March 15, 2006 by Guevara01 Quote
Pierced Musie Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 I wasn't naughty at school. I was the shy girl who stayed away from everyone else. At home I had 666 stamped on my forehead most of the time *cackles* Quote
Guevara01 Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 (edited) I was the attention-seeking kid. Now i'm the eccentric one. Mwah ha ha!! xxx Edited March 15, 2006 by Guevara01 Quote
Pierced Musie Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 Eccentric is... I want to say sexy followed by *purr* but I don't want to scare you off Quote
Guevara01 Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 I think i'm like Johnny Depp in "Benny and Joon" eccentric. Not that i'm comparing myself to the fabulous Johnny Depp - just his character! xxx Quote
