MarMar
We received some bad news this week... My boyfriend's paternal grandfather has cancer in the pancreas and liver. They don' know where it started.

Guevara01
Aw, sorry to hear that. Is there anything they can do about it, to stop it spreading or remove the cells? xx
MarMar
They're still doing tests, as far as I know. The said they can remove some of the liver (the affected area), but the pancreas is hard to get to... apparently. It doesn't look good, and cancer patients of this kind usually live 6 months. Guevara01
It's horrible in the test stage, the not-knowing. My nan had cancer in her gallbladder, fortunately they were able to remove it. But my Auntie died of skin cancer, i think it was. It kills so many people, yet they haven't been able to come up with a cure. It's looking up though, i mean they've got that miracle drug for breast cancer haven't they. xxx
Jess
I'm here, but i should be writing an essay on variations in modern written English. I'm researching the Proscriptivist and Descriptivist views because i can't find my notes Lol. xxx Wow! And I thought GCSEs were hard.....it all sounds so complicated! MarMar
Yeah, I heard something about it. Right now we're just all worried, some are parying (most of his family are Christians... I'm not, but I pray too). I guess they'll take him in for chemo.
Guevara01
It isn't really complicated, they're just posh names. The subject is actually really interesting. I've got another two essays to do after this one though However, i'm looking forward to one of my lessons tomorrow (or today for Australians) because i think i did well on a test i had - first time in ages, i'm fairly confident about this. xxx
Guevara01
Oh, well good luck for his test results, i hope they manage to do something for him. xx Edited March 19, 2006 by Guevara01
MarMar
That sounds good, Guevara. I got my feedback on a project I did when I was in York with my course, and I got an A. Not a big part of the final mark, but everything helps!
