I've got 10 as level exams over may and june, i done quite a bit of revision last week but i stopped doing revision on friday, once you stop it is hard to get yourself motivated again.

Trust me, you get off easy with the gsce exams as the stuff you have to learn for them is like a fraction or a few of the work you need to do for as levels.

My sister told me more or less the same thing i'm saying now, and i didn't really believe her at the time because it seemed alot of work doing the GSCE's. But now i realise she was right as i have had to put much more work in for my as levels.

Even though A-Levels are gonna be more work...I hope I find then slightly more enjoyable (for want of a better word!), 'cos (at least in theory) I should be taking subjects I find more interesting than the rubbish I have to take now.... Some of the GCSE's aren't too bad...simply 'cos I don't really need to revise much....others are hell 'cos I know that no matter how much I revise I'll never be able to understand some of the concepts....oh well...they'll be over soon enough

I think the GCSE's are like our SC (Year 10) & A level's are like our HSC (Year 12) Does that sound right?

Oh I'm number one poster! I dont think i've ever been that before.

Yeah, i do think AS Levels are more enjoyable because you get to pick each subject that you want to do, whereas with gsces you are stuck with some because they are compulsory.

Anyway, i've got another week off so i may start again on Monday now, i just can't be asked with it today lol.

Well done!

It just shows how much I've been on here recently....my posts actually seem to be going up pretty fast lol. Yeah, that sounds about right, although we take our GCSE's at the end of Year 11 (16 yrs old) and then AS Levels in Y12, then A2s (together they make up an A-Level) at the end of Y13.

That sounds like ours. We take SC in Yr 10 at age 16, Then theres the HSC Preliminary year 11 and then the HSC in Year 12. Finishing at about 18.

Yeah well ive been in the top 10 most days since I really started posting. I think I'd average at least 25 posts a day. My post count has really shot up. I think I had less than 50 posts before the temp board went up. When was that Jan/Feb?

The depressing thing is that after GCSE's it just seems like one endless string of exams....AS, A2, then Uni.....what fun!

Is the HSC the equivalent to an A Level or a few A Levels or neither?

I have no idea, someone else may be able to help you. I don't really know about it.
