Di Posted April 13, 2006 Report Posted April 13, 2006 I have a 15 year old step-daughter, her mum is a total cow and even though i have been married for 11 years in August she still causes problems. The point i am making is i encouraged my hubby to continue contact with his daughter, and things are starting to level out a little bit. Tom's dad is missing out on Tom, but it is his fault. And he will regret it in the future. Yeah it can be such a struggle, at the start. So glad things are working out a little better for you. Yeah so, true Hun. Well to be honest Tom’s dad was useless for the whole five years of our marriage. Tom was a very ill baby; he never came to hospital to see him all that much. He never helped bring him up... Therefore, he having an affair was the best thing that happened in our marriage, apart from having Tom. He has been with her for 10 years, Tom has a half brother. She has two teenagers from her marriage. Quote
Liz Posted April 13, 2006 Report Posted April 13, 2006 I deserve a nice holiday after my exams. It's just a shame that I can't get a Summer job, due to it. Oh well, Exams over and a 5* hotel, can't get any better!! I havn't been on holiday since 2003....:-( I've only been on holiday abroad once and that was Ibiza when I was 10. (Hence why I'm so excited about this summer). Quote

Liz Posted April 13, 2006 Report Posted April 13, 2006 Thanks, Cal. I think I'm improving... RE Mom: Most Irish people I know (I'm half Irish) call their parents Mummy and Daddy, regardless of their age. Quote
