RE Mom: Most Irish people I know (I'm half Irish) call their parents Mummy and Daddy, regardless of their age.

Only the country people say "Mummy" And "Daddy"!! :P

And unfortunetly, I live in Galway(bogger land!!). I used to live in Wicklow, The Garden Of Ireland.

I say "Mum" but spell it as "Mom".

I say "mam", it's a Northern thing. It really bugs me when it's mother's day and all the cards say "mum" on them, I don't have a "mum" I have a "mam". It's like the birthday cards for grandmas, I have a grandma and a nanna, but it's really hard to find cards that say "nanna" on them, it's either "gran" or "grandma".

Lots of posh people call their parents "mummy" and "daddy", I find it quite amusing! lol

I stopped saying "mammy" and "daddy" when I was about 6!

I call my parents Mummy and Daddy in private or in front of close friends.

I always have that problem too, Tabby. I have a "granny" and a "granda", but I can never find a card that says either.

Hey everyone, Happy Easter! *Brings in a basket or easter eggs of all different types. - Help yourselves*

I call my mum mummy. In public, anywhere really I'm not ashamed.

I can never find greeting cards to say what I want so I just buy ne nice blank ones and add it on myself!
