Holly Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 Hey *waves* Nothing really, I only got up an hour ago (Which deffinatley beats 5am) but haven't had too much sleep. Damn good books, I was only going to read for half hour last night, bu didn't go as planned, ended up going to sleep at 3am! Quote
Kimmy Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 Lol I hate reading...it's a waste of time! Quote
Holly Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 Ok can I ask how exactly is reading a waste of time? For me anyway, It can enhance your imagination and knowledge, you can learn a lot from a good book, or be transported in to a world completly different than your own. I love reading, I just don't do it enough anymore. Quote
Kimmy Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 You can be doing alot of other things instead of reading...reading is really boring. The only books i read are the Harry Potter books. I don't know what it is about them but they are the only books I can get hooked on. Quote
Mez83 Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 But you can also be reading instead of doing a lot of other things. I love reading. I wish I had more time to do it. At the moment I'm reading the new Marian Keyes book. Quote
Holly Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 (edited) I guess reading can be booring, but it isn't for me. I can read practically anything. My little brother can't stand reading books or anything, but will spend ages reading sport articles and statistics and my older brother will read when he finds something interesting. You just have to find what gets you interested. I must say Harry Potter is not my normal type of book, but I got hooked. I had to read the first 2 for school, and practically had to force myself through the start of the first one, but after that I was hooked! I finished reading 3 csi books last night, I love crime. Now need to decide what next I still have to read To Kill A mockingbird, have been meaning to do it for months, I have an Agatha Christie book I havent read yet or my brother got the new Bryce Courtney book for easter - Whitethorn, I am thinking I may start on that.
