Holly Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 Oh come on... Jason Gillespie is on 174... Hussey just got 182. Bloody brilliant! But don't people get scores like that all the time? <!!! Look I quoted Perfectly lol !!!> Quote
Holly Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 Umm used to be Meester / Meester_h&a_lover or something like that. Quote
Krazy Karl Posted April 19, 2006 Author Report Posted April 19, 2006 yeah but Gillespie is a bowler.... Gillespie's previous highest score was 54... Gillespie was brought in as a night watchmen so a higher order batsmen didn't have to face the last 2 overs of the day. Night watchmen usually don't last long... Quote
Mez83 Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 ^ I know! He's done a great job! I wish we were getting coverage of the match here. It sounds like it's a good one to be watching. Quote
Holly Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 Ok. Well that's good for him. Don't you think its a slow game though? You seem to know your cricket, can you tell me what a power play is? I heard it on the cricket a few weeks back, and I don't understand my brothers explaination. Quote
Krazy Karl Posted April 19, 2006 Author Report Posted April 19, 2006 Its a really new thing in One Day Internationals... I don't know the semantics (sp?), but they are basically a period of overs where the other team can have only 3 men outside the circle. It is slow... but its a game you can watch while you do other things. You can have a good chat while watching it. And you can get behind an innings. Like this one... you feel part of it, because its been building over so long. It makes it very special. Quote
Mez83 Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 Crickets the kind of game that you can have on in the background and still know what's going on. I love a day out at the cricket in Summer too. Quote
Krazy Karl Posted April 19, 2006 Author Report Posted April 19, 2006 I like going to the cricket too... I find you can have a good chat with someone at test cricket. Twenty-20 is completely different though... that's nuts!!! Quote
Mez83 Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 That's the one part of cricket I hate. I just can't understand it!! Quote
