Whilst it pains me to say it (due to my somewhat autistic love of red - according to Nick), go for the blue - goes better with light furniture, and it'd open the room up.

Nah this is my home bedroom - although I'm also going to have this dilemma for the fake blood smeared one in Lincoln!

Actually though, it'd all depend on how you were going to acessorise the room. Using red could work with white/cream walls and fine detail in red (like detail on a duvet) - but lots of red would overpower a bedroom.

Unless you want to have a little love nest...?
