Hey guys and gals!

Just wondering, are GSCE's like the HSC?

HSC? How old are you when you do them? 16? If so then yeah, I think so. And then can you take more exams after that? I think they're like our 'A'-Levels.

Nah. At 16 (well, I'll be 15) we do School Certificate. That is end of Year 10. At 18 we do HSC at end of Year 12. So maybe GSCE=School Cert. & A Levels=HSC?

That sounds about right. I get so confused watching 'H&A'.....it's all too confusing for my little brain to process. :P

summabay: Yeah we do. Well we do at my school anyway. There's the nursery from age 2 to 4. Then Prep, then Primary One (which is like Grade 1 I think).

Do you have a "prep" year in the Uk, before grade 1???

We have Kindergarten, but that is recognised as an actual school grade.

We have Kindergarten too, but isn't recognised as a actual school grade, its before it..

It's all complicated :( In Victoria, we dont have the HSC, its called VCE. But is same age as HSC, and that confused me enought!! :P

It also means that because the roads don't get gritted around here, the slightest bit of snow means that I get the day off school. :D

Love Summer, but cannot stand Winter! For me it is easier to cool down than to heat up! At the moment I am sitting in front of the fire, and I am still freezing! :)

Bring on Summer to Australia! :)
