Jackieleanne Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 Cool I wish that was the same up here, although I haven't had to go to school for two years. In college I remember we used to always end up with days off in winter because the heating used to go down and they used to say we couldn't work when it was so cold hehe. Quote
Jess Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 What are the extremes of temperature like in Australia Elise? Quote
Jackieleanne Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 I know Brodie keeps telling me he is freezing now in Brissi and I ask him the tempreture and he says 24c and I am like thats what it is like here and im out in my bikini I told him to get to England in december to see what a real winter is like. Elise Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 Well, we don't get snow like you guys do at ground level, it only happens once in a blue moon. On New Years Eve (our Summer)in Melbourne it got to 45 degrees celcius, and the temp didn't go below 38 all evening! That was a stinker! We do get colder than Sydney though, today was only 14 degrees, but it has been known to get to 2 degrees during the day. It mainly happens on the mountains, or the ski resorts. Quote
Jess Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 (edited) LOL! 24C is positively tropical! Elise: Wow! I really couldn't imagine having a tropical Christmas! All the cards and carols here are all based around the fact that Christmas is cold! Edited June 15, 2006 by jeh-jeh Quote
pam Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 Enough school talk........what is everyone doing today? Quote
Dean Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 I'm waiting for Family Guy to start at the moment. Quote
Jackieleanne Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 (edited) Thats what I am worrying about when I move to Brisbane Elise, Brodie keeps telling me how hot it gets in summer there and its going to kill me. In Manchester in winter tempretures are usually in the minuses. Edited June 15, 2006 by Jackieleanne Quote
Jess Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 I'm waiting for 'H&A' to start. We're still in the aftermath of Flynn's death. So nice and cheerful! Quote
Jess Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 It would kill me too. I just get really grumpy when I'm hot. And I turn the colour of a lobster at the first sign of sun. Quote
