Theresa Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 You know the company Savers? It's like a chemist, but not really? Sells household products, make-up, perfume, that kind of thing? Well, I work there. When I'm at school, it's just on weekends but since they're short staffed, I've been in most days! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah I know the company savers. Awww...that sounds acool job. How did you get that job? I can't even get one ( only alittle one) and been looking for over a year now. Just no one wants me... Quote

Well, I work there. When I'm at school, it's just on weekends but since they're short staffed, I've been in most days! SDA, I hope you're right! In a weird kind of way, I want to go back to school. This is going to be my last year! I'm going to be a 6th year! Woo!  It means a different tie, haha. It also means that I get to be a mentor to two little first years! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Am sure that if you can bring up a kid in the wonderful way you have school will Will be easy bee. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Aww!! That's such a sweet thing to say, thanks. It's so hard for people in our society to accept that teenage mothers can actually be good mothers, so that means alot. Quote

I got my job because the shop just opened in my area and they were desperate for staff, lol. They were especially desperate for young staff (ie 16 year olds like me!) because they could then pay less on wages!! If I were you, I would just go to your nearest shopping centre or whatever and have a look in all the shop windows. There's bound to be somewhere looking for people and even if it's not a great place, at least it will give you some experience for the future! Quote

Ashirr-Leigh Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 It's the best way, right? I mean people think that because Ellie, my daughter, has a 16 year old for a mum and her dad isn't around, that she is in some way deprived or neglected. It's not like that. My family is big, lol, and we all take care of her. Quote
