You having a good un Musie? You seem in a very good mood! I'm all excited waiting for the snow and a possible day off tomorrow, gona go sledging and make snow angels with my mate Jim, like we used to do when we were kids. Feel very childlike and devilish right now...

Good mood due to no Connexions for the next week and a half. Which means no temptation from bad places like coffee shops and sweet shops. I am going on a crash diet... well as crash worthy as the GI diet can be, since it is a pretty slow process.

Oh dear Gawd, I went sledging once. At our old place there were fields out back and we could go in them. The first field was a little hill so it was wicked going down that one but the second field was pretty steep so we had to be careful.

Of course, when I say sledging I mean going down the hill on an big old silver tray we had, letting our backsides freeze completely while we giggled and eventually rolled off... straight into a frozen cow pat sometimes  !

Yes, there used to be cows in that field. And one of those cows took a real shine to my sister and would wait at the fence at the back of our garden or look over the hedge and into our kitchen. We named it Wiggy because it had a blonde tuft of hair on its head.

RIP Wiggy!

Fun times. Fun times indeed.

(Side Note: The fields weren't ours and we are not a rich family who had a farm. My Dad worked as at the place that owned a few cottages. You just had to walk over the field and there was his workplace. Twas good except for the fact it was isolated.)

lol Musie...you never fail to amuse me! We use old chunks of wood that my dad kept from years ago and get freezing bum syndrome too! Won't stop me though.

It is funny what you remember about childhood. I remember everything from that day, even that I was wearing dungerees, which got completely wrecked.

Hmph, I am still thinking of Wiggy. And Lamby! Lamby was this lil sheep that was like the black sheep of her family. Unlike all the others, she would stay still as I got nearer and sometimes come a little bit closer. Not scary at all.
