Dean Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 I actually think it's the old GC, The Oldies & Golden Oldies threads all merged together! As long as we kept this one somewhere safe.. Quote
Cerise Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 Or maybe we'll leave it till we hit 4000... that's a nice number Or keep going for the next few years and see if we can make it to 10000... Quote
Dean Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 I wonder if there is a maximum amount of posts you can have in a thread? Quote
Cerise Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 I don't think so... but would be funny if you tried to enter the thread and it came up with an error message. 'Sorry, the following error has occured - The thread you have tried to enter has overflowed. It will explode in 5... 4... 3... 2... 1...' Quote
Cerise Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 If a thread were to, hypothetically, explode, what exactly would happen anyway? Quote
Dean Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 Imagine things flying across your screen as if you have won solitaire - except with a more destruct-y feeling. Quote
Cerise Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 Scary thought. The solitaire one freaks me out enough. Quote
Jess Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 Imagine things flying across your screen as if you have won solitaire - except with a more destruct-y feeling. Solitaire! I used to love that game... And the flying cards bit at the end! Haha, bits of everyone's posts from years ago would all just be in a big mush of text. That would actually be quite cool to see, I think! But, seriously, I well wanna PM an Admin and be like, 'Is there a maximum number of posts a thread can hold (or, actually, a maximum number of posts you can quote in one post) before the system totally crashed?' Although, I reckon there's probably easier ways than that to make it crash, anyway... Quote
rising-flame Posted June 3, 2008 Report Posted June 3, 2008 I don't think trying to make the system crash would make you overly popular, but if you quoted too many posts you'd spend a lot of time scrollng down! Quote
