Pierced Musie Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 Try and get onto the topic of music and then subtly ask him what bands/singers he likes. Make a note of it and look for a CD. That's what I do with my Dad Quote
Ashirr-Leigh Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 I could do that, thanks. My dad's a bit of a music fanatic - it's where I get it from! - so that shouldn't be too hard! Quote

He might like that. Depends if he likes the music from the year he was born of course; generally speaking, I don't! Quote
Ashirr-Leigh Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 Aww, sounds good! I don't know if I would get the year he was born.. but he always (boringly!) talks about his gap year between high school and uni and how he went to so many gigs and things then. If I could figure out what year that was, I'm sure he'd love it! Is there like a site or something where you could see what's on these cds? I'd be interested to see what songs were released in 1989 (the year I was born!). Quote

Hmm, I was thinking of the Friends Reunited CDs (unless you go for a second-hand 'Hits of the Year' CD eg.Now, Smash Hits, etc). Try amazon.co.uk, play.com, or even hmv.co.uk. Ashirr-Leigh Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 Cheers, I will do. You know what's weird? When I hear 1989, I don't think of my birth year, I think Josie and Home and Away! Sad? I think so! Quote

I think of my first 'proper' relationship, first time in a nightclub (under-age!), first time I was totally bevvied, etc. Those were the days!! Quote
Ashirr-Leigh Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 Haha! Hopefully the Josie thing will pass and I'll think.. I was born then! For all the things you said, I think 2001! I was 12 lol so the nightclub thing didn't happen but the rest of it basically did! Can't say those were the days though.. but hey, hopefully I'm living them now! Or next year when I go to uni - partaaaaay!! Quote
.Cat. Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 Has anyone seen the movie "Carrie"?? Quote
