.Cat. Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 summer_bay_babe said: Nup, what's it about? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It was like made in 1976, starring Sissy Spacek and John Travolta. Plot Summary: Carrie White is a shy young girl who doesn't make friends easily. After her class mates taunt her about her horrified reaction to her totally unexpected first period one of them takes pity on her and gets Tommy Ross, her boyfriend and class hunk to invite Carrie to the senior prom. Meanwhile another girl who has been banned from the prom for her continued aggressive behaviour is not as forgiving and plans a trick to embarrass Carrie in front of the whole school. What she doesn't realise is that Carrie is ... gifted, and you really don't want to get her angry. Quote
Dan F Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 I was thinking of one of those year compilation DVD's for my mate, ended up getting a Memphis Belle Documentary and a tripod - I was quite surprised to find they didn't just only have CD's for your birth year - they've now bought DVD's out as well with clips of what happened in your year! Ashirr-Leigh Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 I've seen Carrie and it's great! Really freaky! Wow, Dan.. that sounds great too! I've got lots of ideas now, thanks guys! Quote
Murrin Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 I love the film Carrie, Carrie 2 is bad though. I do not like it when good film is ruined in a sequel! Ashirr-Leigh, all the idea people give you are great for your dad but here there is another one - how about a watch? With some kind of inscription? Quote
Si-Co Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 I've read it Karl. Many thanks. I always find Bevan's interviews/comments interesting to read. I actually emailed him a while back via Chris about Sons and Daughters, and his replies to my questions were very informative. Quote
Ashirr-Leigh Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 I think I might do a mix of all these ideas. Me and my sis are going to buy something together so that means a bit of extra money, thanks again guys! Quote
