Have to say, I love the sound of Coco's story. Very interesting, and a great way to deal with her anger towards the kids that are picking on her (as long as she doesn't follow through in real life ). Raffy's enthusiasm is very sweet, and I really liked how she trapped Justin - clever girl!

Raffy realised her story from Buddy's point of view was very silly did she? hmmmm over tired was she? Lets see how good her story holds up now she's bright eyed and brushy tailed then shall we? <_<

Spoiler

I wonder if Coco's story is going to come slightly true you have me wondering  Is the school going to be haunted?

I would be wary of Miss Johnson never trust someone who click clops their way through life

Maybe if you were writing the story  it was you that gave her the idea after all.

Chapter 19

Brody had no luck in finding his Tinder hottie, how was it possible that he couldn't even find her, let alone match with her? The few messages he'd received had been nobody interesting, or maybe they weren't of interest because they weren't the girl he was looking for. He'd deleted the app and decided to just wait and see if fate would play a part and bring her into Salt once again.

Stuck at work for both the lunch and dinner shifts today Brody decided to go have a swim to clear his mind before the business picked up again later. Grabbing his trunks and towel from a prepacked bag in the storeroom, he held his breath and checked his phone before putting it on the shelf and made his way down to the beach. It was a bright sunny afternoon, the orange sand glittering in the light. The waves crashing at regular intervals. The surfers out in their groups, soaking up the last of the warm afternoon rays. On his way across the beach Brody noticed his younger brother in his life guarding uniform. He felt like he'd not seen Mason properly in ages, it had in fact only been a few days but considering they live in the same house it was less than usual. Brody decided to jump in for his swim before talking to Mason, catch the water while it's warm and all that.

As he was in the ocean he could see Mason from afar. Brody dipped under the waves and kept his shoulders below water so he didn't get cold. Swimming out to the waves and back in with them was definitely clearing his mind.

As Brody lifted his head above the water he looked over to see Mason walking towards a blonde in a red bikini. He decided to keep his head low as he may be discovering the reason Mason's been so absent lately. His initial thoughts were correct, as he saw Mason approach the blonde have a quick conversation and then tap her on the bum as she walked away from him to retrieve her towel. That cheeky gesture was all Brody needed to see to know his brother's secret was a girl. From afar he couldn't see who she was, but she seemed keen on the ocean – and on his brother. Brody was hoping that Mason was being careful this time, he couldn't handle his brother choosing another rebound girl and getting hurt – again.

Once Brody had finished his swim he walked out of the sea, flicking his wet hair like an ex on the beach as the water dripped down his body. He reached out for his towel and made the walk towards Mason while drying his face, arms, hair, chest and eventually tying the towel around his waist.

“Working hard I see.” Mason shouted over the sound of the waves as Brody approached.

“You'd know all about that wouldn't you?” Brody joked with his brother. In hindsight though, Mason was probably the hardest working person Brody knew. Holding down 2 jobs, a university placement and course without ever complaining. What he ever did with the money he earned though was a mystery, Mason was always the last person to put his hand in his pocket for anything.

“Just clearing my head before I head back in for dinner rush.” Brody informed Mason. “Nothing more tiring than spending the whole day in that hot kitchen.” Mason nodded, not in agreement but more in sympathy. There'd been days he'd had to go from one job to the next so he knew it wasn't easy.

“It's not too bad out there today ay?” Mason responded. The waves were high but the sun had been glaring down since the early hours of the morning, the sea had reached a comfortable temperature. They both looked towards the water and inhaled this beautiful sea side town that they lived in. There were plenty of questions on Brody's lips but he was unsure how to bring them up. He ummed and arred in his head trying to come up with a solution to his problem. Instead he slapped his brother on the shoulder and walked away, heading towards the showers at the top of the beach.

He racked his brains trying to think of a reason why Mason would hide something so small from the family. It's not like Mason hadn't had a girlfriend before, and it's not like they haven't got on with the rest of the Morgan clan. There's no excuse for wanting to keep this a secret, to the point of lying about where he'd been and who he was with, using other family members as cover stories. The more Brody thought about it, the more it seemed like Mason wanted to be caught out. Really though, what could he be trying to hide?

As he walked up the ramp towards the unoccupied shower he recognised the red bikini he'd seen just a short time ago with his brother. It belonged to Ziggy....Although not Brody's ex, he didn't feel entirely okay with it either.

Update again soon :)

Nice shark impression there from Brody dipping down in the water to hide from Mason. I did have the Jaws music in my head  But really he shouldn't worry about Ziggy he should just keep at finding this tinder woman. As you were writing Brody going for a swim here I thought it would have been much more steamy and I would need to go cool off :P But well done you had good self control
