Oooh! So the cat's out of the bag, so to speak! Wonder how he'll react and whether he'll confront Mason about it.

Loved the little jibe at Mason holding down 2 jobs, a university course, and a hospital placement. How on earth he's supposed to find time to hit the gym for hours on end is beyond me (Unless he's just naturally built like He Man? ) And what does Mason do with all his money?

Chapter 20 - Interview with Justin

Question: What was your reaction to being told you were going into witness protection?
Answer: Something needed to be done. We, myself especially, knew we weren't safe from these people. I'd just watched my parents die in front of me and it was my fault. Obviously nobody else knew that so I had to be as surprised about the situation as the rest of them were.

Question: How did you keep your involvement a secret for so long?
Answer: Believe me, it's hard. There's so many times I just wanted to blurt it out when the conversation turned to mum and dad. But I couldn't. I knew I could protect them if they didn't know. I also knew that I needed them, those guys are everything to me and I'd without a doubt be dead without them. As far as forgiveness goes, they've been pretty decent, I never would have expected them to in general, let alone as quick as they did.

Question: How did you find changing from Jack to Justin?
Answer: Well it wasn't that quick of a change. Before Justin I went by Johnny for a little bit. I know, hard to believe, I don't look like a Johnny. But I also don't look like a Jasper, which is what they tried naming me the first time...I took that one upon myself to change. I went by Percy to people I introduced myself to, and made up some story about it being my nickname at school when people saw my license. I just couldn't see myself as a Jasper.

Question: Which was your favourite name/life?
Answer: I like being a Morgan. We have you, I'm back in Ava's life, I have some pretty solid friends, decent family businesses. I'll forever go down as Justin Morgan. That's what I want written on my headstone.

Question: What was the hardest thing for you to leave?
Answer: Without a doubt Ava. You can't leave a toddler for 7 years and expect her to remember you the day you reappear. I couldn't explain to Nina what had happened, I couldn't say goodbye. I just had to put her to the back of my mind and focus on looking after the family I was taking with me on this crazy ride.

Question: After 7 years you were brought back to NSW, how did that make you feel?
Answer: We were scared. We had no idea if we'd been followed or if they were still here. Ava was so close but so far away. I couldn't put her at danger by reaching out until we knew for sure it was safe. Finding out about you made it harder. Everything started here, and funnily enough I'm glad this is also where it ended.

Question: How was it moving from Brisbane to here with the same names?
Answer: I think that was the scariest move, knowing that if they'd tracked us to Brisbane, they'd have no trouble finding us here. We had no real reason to leave Brisbane, we just weren't feeling the safest. Turns out we were right to be worried – changing location and not your name is definitely not an idea I'd recommend.

Question: What about Summer Bay made you feel safe?
Answer: Nothing to start with. Constantly watching over our shoulder. The fact that Tori came here alone to start with had us all worried, we weren't around to protect her if anything happened. But I think the longer we were here the more we realised that there's no secrets in a small town, and that definitely had both advantages and disadvantages for us.

Question: Meaning?
Answer: Advantages; we'd know if people were sniffing around. Disadvantages; we had a massive secret ourselves.

Question: Did you try any other jobs?
Answer: I pretty much became a Jack of all trades by being in witness protection. Quite literally. Cars have always been my thing, which is why when the garage opportunity came up I couldn't say no. But I've dabbled in plumbing and electronics, even a bit of farming. But only for a few weeks at a time, I needed to be under a car.

Question: Did you ever come across anyone from your old life in a new life?
Answer: Apart from the criminals out to kill us? No. Obviously Nina and Ava coming back here, but I don't think they count. I've not had any hiccups unlike Tori.

Question: Which move was the hardest?
Answer: I'm going to go with the first one. Having that massive secret over my head, having to leave Ava without a goodbye, having to be the responsible older brother and look after my siblings when they had no idea of the truth. It wasn't just changing who I was to fit these new names, it was being who everyone else wanted me to be.

Question: How do you think they found you?
Answer: Clearly now we know there was a mole in the police force. We were never going to be safe no matter what our names were or where we lived. We had to just be vigilant about every little thing, which since you've known us we haven't really proved to be very good at.

Question: When it came to the end, how did you feel?
Answer: The day I got to ask Nina if I could see Ava without there being a worry over my head was the second best day of her life....First being the day she was born. I felt like I could breathe again, or that they'd reattached a lost limb. Everything was out in the open, everyone who needed to be behind bars was gone, my family were by my side and I had my little girl, or at least I was going to.

Question: If it could have been over in any of your previous “lives”, which would you chose?
Answer: I'd have loved it to never happen at all. For mum and dad to still be here. For you to have still come about and be in our lives. For Ava to have grown up knowing I'm her dad. I would have given myself up for all that to have happened to this family. But you can't change the past. We are here in the present, and I'm happy to be here right now.
