Great chapter

Loved the funeral service 

And I liked how Nick and Jade were brought into this fanfiction. I remember watching bits and pieces of them as a couple on the show as well.

Thanks, guys! I will admit, Ludub, that I was inspired by your fiction a bit there! I'm aware that between us the show and I gave Josh a bit of a hard time so one of the things I wanted to do in this fiction was to show that he did have a future despite everything.So I was always going to touch base with him and Phoebe at the end, but originally the scene was going to end with Jimmy's return home and just the three of them being a family.But I'd left a couple of things dangling from the early chapters so I added in the letter from Debbie Barrett and Alf arranging a job for him, which tied in nicely with Alf's plotline.

Yeah, even though in my head Nick and Jade have always got back together (and I was pleased nothing in Kirsty's late 00s stint contradicted it!) I actually forgot to mention it in this fiction so I had to quickly add in that reference.Ditto Annie and Jai.I pretty much consider my two "Jannie in Japan" fictions canon!

Yes, sorry, people, that's the end! I think I covered all the major points in people's lives and left them in a decent place. No more HA stories planned at the moment, sorry!

Aw sad this is over. Lovely coming together of everyone although not for a joyous occasion. Hopefully the writers take note and know this is the only way we'll ever be happy with saying goodbye to Alf Stewart!

REALLY like the mention of [Jai and] Annie …..as I really like Annie …and LOOOOOOVE Charlotte Best !!!!

 

What Geoff said after Alf at the funeral was sooooooooooo right ….ALL the Baysiders being his fam …… and whilst I’m not Josh’s biggest fan, was soooooo ALF to lead the way re a person’s redemption with the town, re the surf club thing [thoughts of Josh’s infamous real H&A love mural] !!!

Thanks, both of you! I'm not sure the show would choose quite the same cast of characters as me if they were doing Alf's last farewell but it needs to be a big one.And yes, I thought it was very in character for Alf to give someone a leg up.
