So incredible sad  I’ve read about many celebrities deaths the last years but this is the worst I’ve heard about, a whole family dying, its just horrific  It’s also a big loss for the show as she was an important character that I’m sure would eventually return, I wonder if they will kill off the character now?

Thank you Dan.  Just looking at the first picture of her in your article makes me so sad.  Such a waste and I'm left wondering what could have been.  What would have happened if Hope was released from jail and returned to the bay to renew her relationship with Raffy?  I'll guess we'll never know......

I'm curious why it says Vale Jessica Falkholt on the picture on the main site. Was that her official name?

She had a movie coming out. So Clearly she well be the lead. So she is a Star. I don't think it is appropriate given the circumstances. To discuss how popular she was or if she was not a star or not. Show some sensitivity huh.

Vale is Latin for 'farewell' and is commonly used for obituaries in Australia as an alternative to RIP.

One of the Directors said the movie is coming out. I am not sure what the genre is. But yeah real shame. She was only on the show four months. But it would of been real interesting seeing Hope come back. But RIP.

I do think it’s very sad and unfortunate but why are we acting like she was playing a major character that’s still on the show? 

I don’t think an announcement from Home and Away itself is necessary. She was simply an actor who passed away tragically. 

 

To call her a Home and Away “star” is so far from reality. She was a guest star and simply a plot device character.

Again, it’s so sad that it happened but this major affiliation to the show is beyond ridiculous now. All media beat up to gain more attention to the story.

I think that’s the sad part too, using Jess’ death to make the story more wide known. People, unfortunately die everyday in similar circumstances, Jess, however, isn’t more important than everyday people. 

So sad.

It really isn’t meant to be heartless. I promise that. I just was trying to say I feel the media are hyping this story too much to get more views etc. 

I’m deeply sorry for any offence caused. It wasn’t coming from a nasty place.
