Kat was still seeing Ash - on the quiet - during her suspension.  Colby was mixing with dodgy types - Dean & Willow - before so no change there. Not surprising he'd have recognised Willow's voice when he heard it and he did try and be discreet by getting her outside when he turned up at Salt to take her in as I like to think he would for anyone he knew. He was acting as a cop should.  Dean pitched up just in time to see her carted off.

It seemed to me Marilyn took Ty's departure better than John who I think was looking on Ty as a replacement for Jett, though Ty was only supposed to be  a short term foster.  I guess the foster agency was informed of all these developments  off screen.  Hope it works out for both Jodi and Ty.

Hunter, after his initial shock, dealt with the bombshell very maturely, though Christina would have been more than happy to carry on seeing him.  Hunter has been stung before so don't blame him for not wanting to be the third wheel again.  I hope his apology to Leah is seen and not done off screen.

The one-up-manship between Hunter & Ty talking  about their individual bombshells was rather a wry moment!

It was the good old 'we were drunk' excuse for Dempsey then! Mason planning his, Dempsey's and the babies future was a bit out there, I'll put it down to him still being in shock. I noticed Tori refrained from the usual stock question 'Are you sure it's yours' when Mason broke the news. Would be hard for her knowing she has fertility problems, maybe be fortunate she had gone for her tests and found out now rather than her going down the meeting someone, getting serious, deciding they want  a baby then finding out she may have trouble conceiving. Leah has been very supportive, giving caution but telling Tori she'll be there whatever Tori decides. Brody & Justin when he gets back are in a for double shock. Good to get an update on the Ava access story.

Talking of Brody, while it was just him and Ziggy at the Astoni house, Maggie being in hospital, Ben there most of the time and the only other person around being Coco it wasn't too hard to handle.  Now they are all back with Raffy & Ryder dropping in when invited no surprise he's finding it too much. He is a chef so should be able to take criticism via Ryder, though it didn't stop him having more.  It is Ben & Maggie's house so their rules should apply.  I know Brody was sharing with Tori, Justin, Mason & Raffy but it was his home. Good to see Ziggy was in favour of moving out now that Maggie is improving.  Has that cottage/outbuilding another building on the Morgan plot we haven't seen before, they certainly have a lot of land. True the way it looked would have been a shock to Ziggy looked like the place where they dumped things they didn't use anymore, but once done up would be a good solution. Surprisingly pembie it does get cold in Australia.

Was that a hint from Alf we'd be seeing Bryce soon?

So, it really didn't take Colby long to find that trying to have his cake and eat it isn't as easy as he hoped.Robbo was right that he can't use his position to protect Dean and Willow, although frankly it was a bit late: A lot of what he did didn't exactly seem to be procedure.(And why did the officer who was already with Willow go out again to delay the interview?)And did the police really just let Willow walk away despite knowing she's guilty of withholding information at the very least? In some ways, Dean does bear the biggest share of the guilt: He was the one that knocked over Alf (and didn't do anything to make sure he was okay), the credit card skimming was his idea and he was the one that actually used it.On the other hand, Willow did do a fair bit of stealing before that. But as I said at the time, it's hard to imagine big consequences for either of them.

I really liked the relationship between Ben and Brody here; Ben's now at the stage where he knows Brody's good for his daughter, and maybe even sees him as the son he never had (although he's probably not that much older than him!), and will do anything to help him out.And the interaction between Brody and Ziggy is nicely light as well.I didn't have much sympathy for Maggie, I'm afraid: She should have twigged that the logical result of Ziggy getting married was her moving out.

And with Olivia gone, Irene seems to have completely taken over her role of being overinterested in Jasmine's love life.More interested than Jasmine is, in fact.

Not the best first case for Colby to have on his return!  I was worried about some of the procedural process going on, he was arresting officer so would under normal circumstances be expected to follow it through but as it was Willow he should have passed it on, which, admittedly, he did do later. Btw where was McCarthy when all this was happening, he was there earlier on in the day?  Robbo was proved right when he asked Colby if he was sure Dean & Willow weren't using him and he denied it but then later Dean & Willow both asked for his help which to give him his due he refused.  At least Dean has done one thing right by deciding to move out of the flat, wouldn't be correct for him to be staying in the same place as the cop who arrested him, how did he get bail btw? Wouldn't Willow be charged with being an accessory after the fact? Apart from Willow making the call, everything is circumstantial, no proof Dean was there.  Willow feels guilty about Dean getting involved, but it was his choice she didn't ask or expect him to fix it for her, but maybe she should have known it was the type of thing he'd do as she would have done for him.

Robbo is certainly coming out of his shell, he does have a lovely smile, it appeared to me he is a bit more into Jasmine than she is him, unless she's putting on a very good front.  She is keeping it light with Robbo and not that I can see leading him on in any way. Well Irene has to be interested in someone's problems now she hasn't got Olivia to worry over as well as her role of matchmaker.

Maggie to be fair is still pretty vulnerable and although she would have had in the back of her mind Ziggy would be moving out, it did happen pretty quickly, one day in fact!   Going to be a shock for Coco when she comes home from school and finds her sister has moved out!   Did like their exchange the night before about Coco's having not  slept with Ryder.  Oh Ziggy did say her door was always open, except when it wasn't:wink::blush:, but of course she won't be there now!  Ziggy, at first, was coming across as bit of a princess, expecting Ben to kick Robbo and Colby out of the flat so she and Brody could have it, then not being willing to accept a not so perfect place for her and Brody's first home.  The granny flat obviously wasn't as bad looking as it initially seemed as Ben & Brody managed to make it look very habitable in a day, did they call in DIY SOS?  The rest of the Morgan's are close by but out of sight, liked Ziggy's joke about popping over to 'borrow a cup of sugar'.  Was nice Ben reminiscing that it reminded him about his and Maggie's first place.  If I've got it right Brody is 25/26 and Ben is 38, he was 18 when he and Maggie wed and Ziggy is 20 so not that many years between them.

Well, so long Ty. It was a nice ending, with a good farewell from John, Marilyn and Raffy, but I can't help but feel like there was so much more that could have been done with him than him basically being a box-ticking device for the writers.

Meanwhile, I, from seeing other opinions on other discussions, may be expressing an unpopular opinion here, but I actually liked the scenes with Jasmine and Robbo, they come from different backgrounds but they really rub off well together. I've seen a lot of complaints about Jasmine before, but I honestly can't find her doing anything wrong here. She's being open to someone who doesn't really have anyone to open up to really, so the two of them together are fun. She's not leading him or anything, she's just trying to be nice and a friend, though she may have some thoughts about that now that Irene got into her head.

I've realised with great sadness earlier today that Hunter is the last character that came from 2012-15-  you know it's a great shame when you just have Hunter. I'm just wondering why Leah and Alf keep supporting him with the way he acts, though in all fairness, he did deal with the conversation with Christina very maturely, because he has been in the husband's shoes before. I really enjoyed his conversation with Mason ("Christina's married. Dempsey's pregnant. You win.") ?. Mason meanwhile is handling very realistically, he's nervous and a bit afraid, but also excited and I liked that he talked to Dempsey about it, that's a good way to deal with this stuff. Tori's storyline remains interesting, it's good that she's going to go through with it, because, as she and Leah said, she's not getting any younger and she may not get another chance at it.

My respect for Colby has gone up in not giving Dean and Willow a pass just because they're friends. Robbo was right; Dean and Willow's actions seemed to say that they expected a free pass from Colby. He stuck with the  law and refused to let his emotional relationships get in the way (this time), which is more than can be said for a lot of others,  like Charlie, or Kat, or Angelo. What I didn't like however, was the way the episode played Colby questioning Dean kind of like Kat was prodding around Andy when he took the blame for Josh, making it feel like that Dean's innocent and just covering for Willow, when the truth is that Dean is the more guilty of the two. He was the one who came up with the idea of card skimming, the one who knocked down Alf and the one who refused to call an ambulance. It doesn't excuse Willow's part, but the show shouldn't be playing it like Dean doesn't deserve this when he does.

Alf's episode count this week:Four, and he was credited on Thursday for no appearance.Given that Dean wasn't credited on Wednesday despite appearing, I'm guessing the short scene with him and Alf at the end was moved from Thursday.

To be honest, I'm not sure what Alf and Irene think they've done that Dean owes them: Rent him a caravan until kicking him out, and serve him coffee once a morning? By the same token though, Dean can't assault one (accidental it may have been, but he didn't seem that bothered he was hurt) and rob the other and expect a warm welcome.I couldn't even take his apology as much of a redeeming moment because he spent most of it lying to them: I guess we were meant to admire his loyalty to Willow but basically he's manipulating innocent bystanders.I could understand Robbo watching out for Dean, given he was the town pariah not so long ago, but the only explanation I can think of for him encouraging him to leave town is that he actually secretly hates Dean!

I didn't mind the Robbo and Jasmine stuff.I can't say I'm excited about them getting closer, but I don't think it's a particularly bad idea either. There are times when I find Jasmine annoying, but she's well-intentioned here and essentially she's a nice person, if a bit bland. She also seemed incredibly naive and innocent: It didn't even seem to occur to her that wandering around in a bikini might have an effect on Robbo! Maybe I should make allowances for cancer, but Maggie came across a bit selfish, basically hoping Brody and Ziggy fail and come running home.

John and Marilyn...neither of them came over well although I'm marginally on Marilyn's side because at least she's trying. Her early speech, acting as though Ty's going to be popping round every week and calling them every day, was in need of a reality check, although aside from that ringing him up and asking what he wants done with the clothes seems a pretty sensible idea.Giving Catherine the okay without talking to John is exactly the sort of unilateral decision that caused them so much trouble, but then John gets firmly in my bad books by throwing tantrums instead of talking about it or even having a decent argument. It doesn't help that he not only brought up Raffy (who shouldn't even be there but they won't let her go back to her family and pressure her into changing her mind whenever she wants to, a far cry from their fair treatment of Ty) but hid behind her to avoid trying to explain his own behaviour.Again, the feeling is that John and Marilyn don't have a clue what fostering is about and treat Ty and Raffy more like possessions than people who they should help when they need it and let go when they don't.

I don't remember her name, but that "older" woman Hunter's hanging out with doesn't look that much older than him. To me, they look almost the same age, certainly not noticeable to to be a big deal (the husband and teacher thing aside.)

Dean get some respect for owning up to it, but not much, and I still can't like him, because if Colby hadn't brought it up and brought Willow in, he would have been happy enough to let it slide.
