Chapter 43

 

(8:40am) 2 hours and 5 minutes later…

Summer Bay – High School – Bianca's Office

Bianca was in her office when there was a knock on the door. Knowing who it would be she said: "Come in."

The door opened to reveal both Tamara and Sasha who were a little confused as to why their tutor had told them to come here before they'd even had a chance to sit down.

"Take a seat girls, if you want." Bianca says as she points towards the chairs in front of the desk.

Sitting down, Tamara says: "Is something wrong with Kyle?"

Bianca quickly realising that telling Zac to send the girl to her office without reason was a bad idea, explained: "No god no. Kyle is completely fine, in fact he remembered Dexter's car crash this morning and how the university helped him."

At the mention of her brother Sasha says: "He remembered that?"

"Yeah he did."

"I suppose that's great news. Hang did you mention university."

"Did Kyle tell you all?" Tamara quizzes Bianca.

"Yes, he told us this morning over breakfast. He made sure to mention how you two had helped him make a decision on what to do."

"So, he decided then?" Both girls say at the same time.

"Yes, he is going to ring them today and explain the situation and see what they can do."

"I'm so happy." Tamara says with a smile on her face "I get to go to uni with not only my best friend but my boyfriend too."

"And Matt." Sasha throws into the conversation.

Bianca knew Matt had applied but didn't realise he had made a definite decision on what he wanted to do: "So Matt got accepted then?"

"Yes, he did Miss Scott. However, he doesn't want anyone to know."

"Typical Matt." Tamara laughs "Anyway, what did you want to see us for other than that."

"Well Brax has decided to throw a BBQ tonight to celebrate Kyle's good news and his memory starting to return. Kyle asked he could invite you too."

"Tell him thank you. We'll be there." Both girls reply.

"He also said to see if you wanted to bring Matt as he wants to meet him." Bianca says to Sasha.

"I'll Matt know and see what he says but knowing him, he won't pass up free food." This cause all three of them to laugh.

Standing up and walking to the door, Bianca open her mouth and says: "Well I will let Kyle know you will be there. Now you two better get to class."

With that both girls say bye and head off to class. Bianca then sits back at her desk and sends a quick text to Kyle to let him know that both girls said yes.

(1:03pm) 4 hours and 23 minutes later…

Summer Bay – Braxton House – Kitchen

Brax and Ricky were in the kitchen preparing lunch when Kyle wandered in.

"Did you ring the university?" Ricky asked him as she placed some beans into a pan.

"Yeah, I explained everything to them, and they said that if I still want to go in September, they will put a plan in place and get back to me." Kyle explains to them "Can I help you with anything?"

"Well at least they are offering to help you." Brax says as he places three plates on the table "Also if you go in that draw beside you and get out three forks and knives and bring them over that would be great."

"Yeah the more I think it about the more I really want to go. It might help me make new memories in case I don't get all my old ones back." Kyle says as he takes the cutlery out the draw and hands them too Brax "Is Casey not eating with us?"

"Well I for one am happy you have something to look forward too. I believe if your patient and continue doing what you are, they will come back as long as you remem…"

"Remember not to force them. I know." Kyle finishes off what Brax was saying.

"Good. In terms of Casey, he wants to do some paperwork at the gym then was heading to the library to work on once his assignments." Ricky tells him as she places the food on the three plates.

Sitting down at the table, Kyle tells both Ricky and Brax that the girls were going to join them tonight and that Matt might be coming as well.

"So, it's going to be a full house." Ricky laughs.

"Should I not have asked for them to come as well?" Kyle says looking confused.

"No, you have every right to ask for them to be invited." Brax says to him.

"Ok. I just don't want to put you all out as you have all been so kind to me."

"Kyle you are family. So, never say that ok?"

"Ok Brax. I do have one question to ask in terms of family though."

"Shoot?"

"Why were both Tamara and Sasha surprised at the fact that Casey helped me out yesterday?" Kyle asks remembering how shocked they had both been when he mentioned it.

Both Brax and Ricky just look at each other. Knowing the truth would probably be too much right now, Ricky says: "They probably just thinking about the fact he had broken leg and wouldn't be able to do much."

"That's what TimTam said." Kyle says in response "I know what it's like to have injured leg. But surprisingly you can do a lot."

"Have you broken your leg before?" Brax quizzes him curious as Kyle had never spoke much about his life before they had come into it.

"No, but I did injury it in the desert." Kyle says as he pops a piece of toast into his mouth.

"Desert?" Ricky asks as she had no idea what he was on about.

Brax looks at Ricky then back at Kyle but doesn't say anything.

"Yeah the desert. When I took Casey out there after what he did to dad. Then there was an explosion and I injured my leg but Brax made it worse when he pushed me over and knocked me out." Kyle says then looks at him "Thanks by the way, Lydia went of it because I told her not to let Phoebe know I was back once Mac had dragged to the hospital."

"Wait you remember all that?"

"Yeah? Should I not like?" Kyle asks with a surprised look on his face.

"No but it just means the memories you lost are coming back quicker than we expected." Brax tells him "Although, you never told us about that before."

"Probably didn't want to mention it before. Honestly Brax I'm only saying what I remember when I remember it. Wish I had a switch that would allow me to remember all once but I'll take what I get, right?" Kyle says to them both

"Kyle's right Brax, we just need to be grateful." Ricky tells her them which gets a nod of agreement from Brax.

With that they all go back to eating their lunch and discussing the BBQ they were going to be having that night.

Fantastic two chapters oh no casey is going to bring his mum despite knowing that Kyle and her don't get along wow Kyle's memory is coming back really quickly look forward to reading more.

Chapter 44

(6:15pm) 5 hours and 12 minutes later…

Summer Bay – Braxton House – Garden

The smell of the food cooking on the BBQ hit Matt's nostrils as himself and the girls walked towards the gate.

Kyle was stood talking to Brax when he turns around and notice the three guests enter the garden.

Rushing over, Kyle gives Tamara a kiss: "Hey TimTam. Hi Sasha and you must be Matt."

Luckily, Matt had been told all day what to expect in terms of Kyle, so when he replied he said: "Yeah I am. It's weird seeing my boss outside of work."

Sasha slaps his arm: "Matt, what did I say?"

Kyle and Tamara both laugh, Kyle then says: "It's ok Sasha. I get what you mean though if it helps its even weirder re-meeting the people you have already met once before."

"Yeah I can imagine how weird that is." Matt replies "Well it's nice to meet you again."

"You too." Kyle laughs "Anyway, come in and grab a drink and some food."

They all head over to the seating area and place their phones and that down, then grab a drink.

While Matt grabbed a drink for Sasha, she walked over to where Casey was sitting on the porch.

Looking up at the figure that had stopped in front of him, Casey groaned: "Hello Sasha, what can I do for you?"

Sitting down beside her ex, Sasha replies with: "Whatever your planning, stop it!"

"I have no idea what you're on about." Casey tries to play dumb as he says it.

"I know you to well Casey Braxton. So, I know when you're planning something."

"Oh really? What am I planning then?"

"I don't know exactly what you're planning but I know it will be something to get Tamara back. While also destroying Kyle in the process."

"Why would I do something like that? I like Kyle."

"No, you so don't try that crap with me, even Tamara thinks you're up to something."

"Well I'm not up to anything." Casey tells her.

Standing up, Sasha goes to walk away but stops and throughs over her shoulder: "Well just so you know, Tamara loves Kyle even more now so don't even think for one second you're going to be able to win her back so easily."

With that she goes and rejoins the others, leaving Casey to just sit there on his own and watch everyone else.

(7:39pm) 1 hour and 24 minutes later…

"Hey, I personally think that it's a good thing that we all going to uni." Sasha says when Heath makes a comment about university being a place only for nerds.

"I was only making a point." Heath laughs.

"What about me?" Matt asks him "I'm not a nerd and I got accepted to uni."

"Yeah to study art?"

"Actually Heath, yes applied to do art but one its creative art and two music is counted as a creative art at uni and that's what I applied to do."

Kyle decides to join in the conversation: "He's right Heath. When I originally finished my HSC, my foster parents told me I should apply to do music at uni and when I had looked back then it feel under the creative art course section."

"So, what made you change your mind back then?" Bianca asks him.

"Lots of stuff. I was in a band with friends from school and realised I couldn't do it all at the same time, so I made decision and chose my friends and Phoebe." Kyle explains "Safe to say my foster parents weren't too happy."

"I can't imagine why." Bianca said causing them all to laugh "What happened to them?"

"I don't actually know. A couple of months after I finished my HSC and got my results, I moved into a house with my best friend Alex. Never saw them again after that."

"Hmmm, maybe you should find out?" Ricky suggested "Even just to tell them that you have decided to do what they told you to do."

"Maybe but there's to much going on right now I think." Kyle says to them all.

With that they all go back to eating their food.

(8:36pm) 57 minutes later…

Everyone was still sat talking one the gate opened to reveal Cheryl.

"Whose idea was this BBQ then?" Cheryl says as she approaches them all "And where is my baby?"

"Mum, what are you doing here?" Heath demands to know as no one had invited her.

"Well I wanted to make sure my baby was ok after that nasty car crash you all had." Cheryl says as she looks around for Casey, who appears from inside.

"I'm here mum and I'm ok." Casey says as he hobbles over and gives her a hug.

Kyle was watching the whole interaction, when Cheryl turned to him and said: "Don't you think you should say something?"

Kyle just stays quiet as he has no idea what was going on.

"Hello, I'm speaking to you?" Cheryl says to him "Just like your father, a waste of space."

Tamara who had been sat beside Kyle the whole time, decides to stick up for her boyfriend: "Shut up."

"Oh, still with him I see."

"Yes and it has nothing to do with you." Tamara says "Come on Kyle you can stay at my place tonight."

Tamara and Kyle stand up and so does Sasha and Matt too.

"Kyle doesn't need to go anywhere Tamara." Brax tells the young girl.

"Yes, he does Brax because there is no way I'm leaving him here when she's around." Tamara says as the four of them head for the gate.

"What have I done?" Cheryl laughs "Can the devil's spawn not speak for himself?"

Kyle suddenly stops, getting sick of everyone speaking for him and not liking the comment the woman had just made towards him, Kyle shouts: "Everyone shut up!"

"Eventually he's found his voice." Cheryl laughs.

Approaching Cheryl, Kyle says to here: "I have no idea who you are and frankly I couldn't give a toss, but you do not get to speak to me like that when I have done nothing wrong."

Brax stands up wanting to get in between his mum and Kyle, to protect him but Ricky grabs his hand and whispers: "Let him speak."

Cheryl looked insulted by Kyle's comment: "You tried to kill my baby no wonder he hated you then you stole his girlfriend!"

"Is this the desert thing?" Kyle asks her then turns to Tamara "Did I try to kill him?"

Tamara doesn't answer as she wants Kyle to remember that on his own. However, before she has a chance to answer Cheryl slaps Kyle across the face.

"HOW DARE YOU! YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU DID YO MY BABY!" Cheryl yells in his face.

"I'm so confused, what is she on about?" Kyle says looking around then turning to Casey "Do you hate me?"

Casey thinking now was a good idea to pretend he doesn't, says: "No I don't hate you. I don't know where she got that idea from."

Looking at everyone, Cheryl demands: "What is wrong with you all? You should hate him for what he did to Casey."

Ricky decides to let Brax go so he can sort this out.

"Mum back off and leave him alone." Brax tells her as he looks at Kyle who was obviously totally confused.

"Why should I? He's acting like he has no idea what's going on?"

"Because he doesn't know what's going on!" Brax yells at her "Casey wasn't the only one injured in that crash."

"You have got to be kidding. He looks perfectly fine to me." Cheryl says as she looks Kyle up and down.

"Not all injury can be seen with the naked eye Mrs Braxton." Tamara throughs into the conversation as she grabs Kyle's hand to try and move him away.

Sasha who had been stood with Matt watching every happen, noticed the smirk on Casey's face get bigger each time his mum had ago at Kyle.

"She's here because of you!" Sasha accused Casey.

Everyone stops what they are doing at looks at the teen as they had all forget she was still there.

Casey speaks up: "I text mum earlier and I may have accidently mentioned tonight but didn't think she'd show up."

"What were you thinking Case?" Heath says to his younger brother.

"it was accidently, I'm sorry Kyle." Casey says to him "Can you forgive me?"

"You don't need to apologise to this waste of space." Cheryl says to Casey.

Casey tells her to shut up as he does.

While they had all be arguing, no one had noticed that Kyle had gone pale.

Turning to look at her boyfriend who hadn't respond to Casey, she says: "Kyle? Are you ok?"

Before anyone has a chance to say or do anything else, Kyle's eyes roll into the back of his head and he collapses to the floor, where he starts to have a seizure…

Oh no poor Kyle has had a seizure and Cheryl had no right to shout at him.  I hope that he will be okay at least the barbecue was going well until then I'm glad that Casey wasn't like this in the show.  Looking forward to reading more.

Great chapter! Oh no I knew it wouldn’t turn out well with Cheryl at the bbq. Poor Kyle was so confused, then she slapped him. My heart broke for him, it was so sad. Then he had a seizure! I really hope that he’s going to be okay. Can’t wait to read more.
