D.B Posted June 5, 2018 Report Posted June 5, 2018 This is probably a discussion already, but I'm just wondering if any of you would have liked to see gay couples on the show, and if you do, who would it be? My two favourite couples to ship would have been Chris and Nate, and Denny and Ricky. Chris and Nate are such great friends, but aren't exactly lucky in relationships before, so I would have loved to see these two have feelings for each other. Denny and Ricky both have a lot in common; they're both good, smart, strong women who have fallen in love with Braxtons and it hasn't really gone great in either case. I would have loved to see these two as a couple, especially in 2015 with Ricky thinking Brax is dead and Denny mourning Casey. They could have found comfort in each other. There are also others that I would have shipped like VJ and Matt, Billie and Evie, Dex and Casey, Pheobe and Kat, and others. Who would you like to see as a gay couple.

Sally Keating Posted June 5, 2018 Report Posted June 5, 2018 Seb and Chris Fletcher as was the original plan (and preferably with Chris being a much better, non-weird representation of a gay guy). Also, when Gypsy had that crush on Shelley and also kissed another girl, it would have been kinda nice if it actually wasn't a phase, considering she went around insisting to everyone that it wasn't for episodes on end, only for it to then be... a phase. Charlie and Joey... I can't even bring myself to go into details about how terrible Seven/Cameron Welsh was for giving into pressure from right-wing groups and cancelling the planned arc. I also feel like Brodie should have been a lesbian. I never liked her with Mitch or Alex... both relationships felt weird and slimy. Kim Hyde and Robbie Hunter... Not gay and not in love but I feel like they had a friends with benefits thing going on.

His relationship with tiegan could never have been described as passionate. They were like best mates. I think the late 90s would have been a good time to have a full time gay character.

I never got why all the guys liked her Wasn't there rumours Henry Hunter was going to have a gay storyline too?

They started off wobbly, evolved into good friends and were rubbish with boys.It was never going to happen but fun to imagine... It did feel like a couple of guests had potential.Tabitha obviously had issues but Olivia dated people crazier than her so... It really felt like there was something building between Sasha and Rosie, which made the fact that within a few episodes Rosie was gone and Sasha was dating Spencer even more disappointing. I think Dexter and Casey had potential and there was a bit of a vibe with Xavier/Romeo and VJ/Hunter.I even toyed with April/Sasha briefly. Going back, Sophie and Karen could have saved themselves a lot of heartache if they'd given boys a swerve and just hooked up...
joelicious Posted June 7, 2018 Report Posted June 7, 2018 I agree with many of the options posted already like Aden/Geoff, Xavier/Romeo, VJ/Hunter, Ryder/Hunter, Andy/Oscar. A few of mine: Aden/Roman, Romeo/Sid, Brax/Josh, Brax/VJ, Zac/VJ, Zac/Tank, Brody/Zannis (more of a hook up than a couple) I'm sure there's more but I can't think of them right now...
