Ashirr-Leigh Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 My school had a "Hint of Pink Day" in school before the holidays. It meant that everyone could come in wearing something pink - a little thing - and they would pay 50p to do it. The money was to go to Breast Cancer Care since it's October - Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Anyway, on the same day, we (6th year) held a karaoke where we persuaded teachers to sing!! The tickets were sold for 50p, the money going to the same cause. Well, I found out today that we raised almost £1500 (in one day!!) for Breast Cancer Care! It might not sound like much but when you consider that there is only about 500 pupils in my school, it's great!
