katya Posted June 11, 2006 Report Posted June 11, 2006 I ran the Race for Life today, a 5K run to raise money for Cancer Research UK. I ran for my two aunts who both died from breast cancer, and it was an amazing experience. So bittersweet.
Jess Posted June 11, 2006 Report Posted June 11, 2006 Awww! That's so sweet Katya! My Mum did the RFL last year, no one in particular in our family has been affected by breast cancer, but it was just nice for my Mum to know that she was helping people while doing what she loves - running.
Liz Posted June 11, 2006 Report Posted June 11, 2006 My dog is back from the vet's! She's very mopey and subdued (the complete opposite of her normal self), so if she doesn't perk up in the next couple of days, we'll have to take her back for more tests.
