OK Lila_Q - I'll give you that, but as Head of ED I suppose while he is there he does come under Tori work wise.  I suppose you mean someone like Jacob in our drama series Casualty, he's Clinical Nurse Manager, any nursing decisions/complaints is dealt with by them.  Have we ever seen a Clinical Nurses Manager at NDH?

Bells seems to be spouting the same lines Colby does - doing it for 'the family'.  But if/when he does get sent down, it will affect the rest of them even if he keeps them out of it. Maybe Angelo hasn't come right out and said to Taylor Colby  is his number one suspect  but his attitude towards him must have given her some sort of clue.  While I know Colby is making all the moves, to start with for his own nefarious reasons, but now it's got more personal, if Taylor's marriage was really that steady she wouldn't be so easily tempted.  It's a  shame poor Nikau has been dumped by Bella just because he wouldn't go along with her plan.  Looks like there are going to be two miserable Parata men going by the trailer.  Again Colby's and this time Taylor's protest that no-one, apart from the four who already do, knows, Bella did point out it's a small town so what do Colby and Taylor do later have a heart to heart on a bench in full view of passers by!  True nobody we know, just a couple of extras, but even so, still a risk.

I'm glad Amber is thinking of Jai and has had a change of heart regarding Dean helping her when he can, she did choose to tell him Jai was his son so should have expected he'd want to be involved with him.  Maybe the two of them should get something in writing sorted so they both know where they stand.  Willow made a valid point to Amber about how Dean knows how difficult it was growing up with a single mum, not knowing who his dad was, though it could easily been his dad was dead but same thing. Quite a good compromise/start with her telling Dean Jai would like a bike for his birthday, what could be more normal than a dad buying his son a bike for his birthday as long as he doesn't go too far over the top and buys him something really fancy.  Cracking idea that Red Amber and Jai staying with John.

I think it was only mentioned once by Jasmine, but we haven't seen them. H&A still have doctors 'in charge' of whole department, like when Alex told Jasmine off because she was having lunch with Willow at the hospital. Tbh I didn't really care, but my friend who is a nurse had real issue with it, because according to her Alex should've told Nurses Manager so that they could deal with Jasmine.

But in TV shows nothing is like in the real life, and they had to have Alex and Willow meet somehow. ?

Regarding Tori and Christian, tbh I don't really know, but I assume with him being the specialist he is in charge of his specialty and Tori of hers. I don't think Tori has the power to overrule Christian's decision regarding neurology or tell him what to do. But doctors consultants should just come and go, not hang around ED.

I don't think Tori is Jasmine's boss in the sense that she could fire her or formally discipline her.She tells her what to do sometimes but that seems normal. We have had reference to a NUM (Nurse Unit Manager) so the show isn't completely ignorant of how it works.

I find myself feeling most sorry for Tane in all this.He seems to be the only one trying not to cause trouble, yet he gets Ari and Mackenzie blaming him for everything.Ari delivering an ultimatum was a tactic that could very easily backfire and seemingly has done, while Mackenzie seems to have gone from demanding a serious relationship to wanting things to go back to when they were less intense. It's a shame because Ari and Tane were being quite civil at the start. What happened to Mackenzie and Tane working separate shifts, by the way? I can't muster the energy to care about Bella and Nikau, who seems to have an awful lot of secrets to keep.

So, goodbye Roo again.Owen seemed to abruptly go from feeling wanderlust to wanting to visit Evan's grave and then come back.Maybe it'll give him some form of peace.Mixed feelings for Ryder, who was quite insightful cutting through Roo's waffle after Irene and Marilyn failed to do so.I did like Alf and Nikau's brief chat.

Well, they've had Wendy O'Donnell on staff for years as medical adviser, she'd have some knowledge although a few cockups have gone through the net on the show...

Yesterday's episode emphasised why I feel Mackenzie and Ari probably won't work out in the long run.  Ari is more invested in the relationship than Mackenzie is.  I think Ari is punching above his weight and he knows this.  As he's come out of jail, he doesn't feel he has many options women wise.  So he's put all he's eggs into one basket.  This in itself adds pressure to the relationship.  He seemed to be consistently trying to pressurise Mackenzie to make a decision as well.  She obviously wants to go out with him but doesn't want the relationship to be too serious.  If Ari doesn't watch it, he's going to come across as needy and Mackenzie will just get fed up and want out.  She was out of order having a go at Tane like that.  You could tell he was quite hurt.  Ziggy didn't agree with what she said either.

Tori once again proves she's like a teenager when it comes to relationships but she is quite funny when she is like that.  Justin was really funny blurting out that she liked Christian to crazy Jasmine, who does not seem to be that crazy at the moment (It's funny how people are completely cured.  John not too long ago was disabled from the stroke now it's as if nothing's happened.  And after a handful of counselling sessions Jasmine's also back to how she was).  Justin's facial expressions and semi awkwardness when Tori was mouthing off without realising Christian was there reminded me of how awkward he was when Nate said goodbye to Tori just after he finished with her.

We'll I guess Roo proves that looks do matter to some people.

Wow!   I'm actually surprised to see Ziggy in some scenes with Marilyn, Alf, Justin and Leah.   This is why I think TPTB should mix up the character introductions so characters aren't just stuck in their isolated bubble interacting with the same people... I want to see different character interactions!

All PTB chose to play the dramatic licence card with storylines at times, speeds things up I suppose and why drag one character in for no real purpose as in Jasmine getting told off by Alex. Maybe if it was something more serious he/she would be.  Christian did say he'd be back.

Where does it say John and Jasmine are completely cured? ?  Just because John has regained the use of his right arm and leg now, it will always be his weaker side  and be apparent should he get over tired or stressed.  Jasmine isn't cured either, she's still attending her sessions.

Tori hasn't been in a relationship for ages, Ash was her last serious one I think so out of practice.

Plus what does Roo's looks have to do with anything??

Tane may have initially stirred things up with Mac and Ari but when he saw how serious Ari was he did back off and tried to keep out of the way as much as he could when she moved in. Ari is wanting things to be more serious between him and Mac, but she's not at that point in her life yet and their different backgrounds have nothing to do with it in my eyes. She does want to be with him but still have some independence, her moving in was only meant to be temporary.  It's good she has Ziggy to talk to about it.  I thought the same Red about Tane and Mac not working the same shifts, unless it was just  a cross over thing? Methinks the reason she blew up at him was because of her own guilty feelings about how she behaved when he first rocked up.  She did say to Ziggy she didn't want to tell Ari she loved unless she was sure which is fair enough in my opinion.  I remember Justin saying the same thing long ago.

I can see why Roo was so confused about Owen's U-turn so I'm glad he explained himself better after Alf had  a go at him, it wasn't anything to do with her or them, just he needed to find out more about himself and what he wanted to do with his life. After all she had put the idea into his mind. Roo had a quick decision to make and liked how it was Ryder who realised she had already decided what to do.  She's got a good job where she can just drop everything like that and leave someone to pick up the slack.   Must have left Ryder feeling unsure of how he felt -  the last time he saw Roo off was with his dad who he knew wasn't coming back and now she's going off with his dad's brother.   He was a good friend to Nik though and although he couldn't be told the whole truth as to why Bella had dumped him was there for him.

Totally off subject but in the promotion ad where the  Gala Bingo lady is drinking through that incredibly  long straw - how is that possible for her to breathe in for that long - I always think she needs to have an A and N between the n and the z and she'd have the title of another TV series.  You need to be quite old to know the one I mean.?

Alf's episode count this week:Four. Possibly getting some in before a break!

Where to start? Well, I felt sorry for Tane again.I don't blame Ari and Mac for wanting to make a go of things, but he did cut a rather sad figure when Ari suddenly ditched their boys' night in and abandoned him.(Not sure how long Nikau was gone for: Discussing shifts with Alf probably wouldn't have taken long and he hasn't got Bella to hang out with at the moment, but he might have done something with Ryder.)I am glad that Ari and Mackenzie are back on track but Tane resigning seems like a mixed response.Maybe he thinks staying away from Mackenzie completely is a good idea but he's pretty much been depending on that job to pay the rent, so I don't know what he's going to do now. Ryder was indeed a good person to find Mackenzie upset! And for once, someone managed to say something useful to warn someone about who's in earshot, with Mackenzie getting Ziggy to stop talking before it gets too embarrassing.

Marilyn seems to have replaced Leah as the person who keeps Ryder company when Alf and Roo are out of town.

Justin hiring someone to help Ziggy seems almost essential if she's got jobs that she doesn't know how to do, so I'm not sure why it got dismissed so easily.I was expecting him to cut himself with that knife at the end there: We didn't get that but he seems to have lost some feeling which isn't a good sign.

Despite the fact that these are rhetorical questions, I won't waste time going back and forth with you again trying to spell anything out as it will be like talking to a brick wall.

Ziggy could definitely use help at the garage.  And she will probably run herself into the ground eventually without it considering (after what we've seen on Friday) that there's a good chance Justin probably won't be back anytime in the foreseeable future.  Despite not being her biggest fan, I feel a bit sorry for her.  Family's gone, she's broke up with Dean and the work is piling up.  Justin and Alf have both seen this.  She must be contemplating her future and if Summer Bay features in it.

I'm glad Ari accepted that it wasn't Tane's fault although it took Gemma to convince him (As an aside I'm glad she hasn't come back yet).  I quite liked the fact that they were going to sit down, watch TV and have a drink together so I didn't completely like it when Mackenzie texted Ari and he just took off, even though I completely understood.  Can't help thinking that Mackenzie's "I don't fall in love easily" line was a warning.  I think she cares deeply About Ari and wants the relationship to work but if she's going to fall for him it should occur naturally.  Ari (quite correctly) has succumb to the logic, half of something is better than all of nothing.

Immediately after Mackenzie had a go a Tane on Thursday's episode before the preview, I suspected she would apologise to him.  Although I didn't like the way she told Tane he was there for an apology before actually apologising as it made it seem like she only did it out of duty.  I think he's made the right decision quitting as he needs to break contact from her for a while.  I'm really hoping that a new girl shows up and he falls for her instead as whilst I don't think Mackenzie and Ari will last, I don't want any reasons to be completely Tane related.
