The scan is for the opening week of 2006, episodes 5101-5105.

The only ones I really recognise are the first two, which are from 3883.Some of the others look like they're from around 3981/3982 but I can't be sure of it.Some of them aren't actually from Home and Away, including some clips of Jason with a very unRobbie haircut and clothes.

^ thanks, it says in the discription that some clips are from Jason Smith's other shows. So i am guessing you dont know the one at 3:38, or is it from another show?

Why do they no longer have purpose?.

The forum used to have a sub-forum where you could request episodes (see this announcement). To prevent people from requesting too many episodes at once, the mods and librarians came up with a system. Depending on the amount of pips you had, you could download one or more episodes a week. If you didn't have any pips, you couldn't request episodes. I don't remember the exact rules but as that sub-forum doesn't exist anymore, it doesn't really matter. Now pips only show if you are an avid poster or not.
