-Andrew- Posted November 23, 2007 Report Posted November 23, 2007 And it was the lamest, least emotional death in H&A history, so it's good that you missed it Quote
abbie Posted November 23, 2007 Report Posted November 23, 2007 I dont like it when they kill charaters off scene, they deserve a proper exit, however her death may not have been emotional but we saw more of the effects on the family Quote
claire_louise Posted November 23, 2007 Report Posted November 23, 2007 And it was the lamest, least emotional death in H&A history, so it's good that you missed it The death itself was terrible, yes (actually it was non-existant, but let's not get technical), but the whole storyline was far from unemotional IMO. I thought it was very well handled and had Beth been killed on-screen, it would have been one of the best exit storylines for a long time. Indiana and Jon in particular did an amazing job, and I like the fact that Beth's demise is still having an effect on many people's lives months down the line. Soaps are so fast paced nowadays that even big events like deaths are usually forgotten about after a couple of weeks. Quote

Daisyap Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 When people leave, like Will and Gypsy, did they both choose to end their contract or do the writers write people out after they've been in it a few years? Quote
bttb-rox! Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 When people leave, like Will and Gypsy, did they both choose to end their contract or do the writers write people out after they've been in it a few years? Some actors choose to leave (sometimes before their contract ends, if they've had a meeting with the producer, etc.) and sometimes their characters are written out (e.g if their contract is coming to an end). Nothing is really set in stone though. Some actors stay in the show up until their contract ends and others extend theirs for a while longer. But I guess the answer to your question is no...the producers/writers don't always write the characters out of the show after a few years. A contract for a permanent cast member (in H&A) is usually around three years, but that can be extended if both the actor and the producer(s) are happy . I'm no pro when it comes to things like that, but that's just what I know . I'm not 100 % sure about whether Kimberly and Zac decided to leave, or whether they were approached by the producer...so i'm not much help really! Quote
Ryan Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 I'm pretty sure that Kimberley Cooper signed a new 3 year contract in 2001, but then someone must have wanted out the agreement early. Quote
